So before the next big patch arrives, be sure to check out our early breakdown of everything there is to know about the Warzone Pacific Season 3 update.
Warzone Pacific Season 3: Release date
Warzone Pacific Season 3 kicks off Tuesday, April 26. This means a full 10 weeks from the moment Season 2 Content Drops and five weeks from season 2 patch reboots, which corresponds to the regular schedule.
At this time, there is no exact information on what time the Season 3 update might go live, or how large the file size will be. We will keep you updated here as more details are announced.
Pacific Warzone Season 3: Caldera Map Changes
While we haven't yet heard of any new POIs joining Caldera in Season 3, we do know that various changes are in store for existing areas.
"Some really cool stuff" is planned for the controversial Peak POI, specifically as teased senior creative director Ted Timmins earlier this month.
While no specific details were released at the time, he did confirm that the "first real intrusions" into Caldera's pace adjustment would take effect during Season 3. This could mean anything from subtle changes to the area to a radical overhaul of the entire area.
We'll have to wait and see what exactly comes out of The Peak in Season 3, along with any other POIs currently under the microscope.
Warzone Pacific Season 3: Weakening Snipers
As always, the new seasonal update means a big shake-up in the Warzone meta. Season 3 is no different, and while it's still early days, we already know for a fact that snipers are being considered in the upcoming patch.
“We are planning a meta shift for snipers in season 3,” confirmed Timmins during a recent interview with Baka Bros.
Snipers are finally being addressed in the Warzone Season 3 patch.
“I think we can all agree that this is long overdue,” he said. "The Sniper meta hasn't changed in what feels like forever, so I feel really good about where we're going with this."
This indicates that various sniper nerfs are currently under development. How exactly they look and how severe they are, we'll have to wait and see.
Warzone Pacific Season 3: Audio Improvements
One of the earliest details we learned about the Warzone Season 3 update had to do with audio. Ever since Caldera entered the mix players expressed their disappointment game sound.
The Footstep sound in particular was a big problem. While Raven Software has yet to confirm any plans, CharlieIntel suggested back in February that this issue would be resolved in Season 3.
"Adjustments for directional footstep sound in Warzone are currently scheduled for Season 3," the account shared. As such, it's safe to expect some improvements, although it's unknown if this update will be included on Day XNUMX or later in the next season.
With the Warzone Pacific Season 3 update just a few days away, new details are sure to arrive in the near future. Rest assured, we will keep you up to date with all the latest news right here.
