Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.4 Update: New Recipes, Runewords, Class Changes

Diablo 2 Resurrected Update 2.4 is set to add a Ranked Mode, new Runewords, and class balance changes. Here is a summary of everything included in this patch.

Diablo fans called in and Blizzard responded with the Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.4 update. Players will finally be able to take part in the highly anticipated Ladder season, as well as test out some new runewords to make their weapons even more deadly.

In addition to this, there are a whole host of new balancing changes happening to both the game's seven signature classes and mercenaries that have plagued players all along.

Diablo 2 Resurrected Update 2.4 is now due out early 2022 year, and PTR will be aired 25 in January.

Diablo 2 Resurrected Ranked Mode

As all OG Diablo fans know, the Ladder Ranked Season is an integral part of Diablo 2's gameplay. Initially missing after release, fans have since begged Blizzard to add the long-awaited feature. It seems that the developers have finally heard us.

Starting next year, players will be able to take part in a new and improved ranked ladder, where a set of never-before-seen runewords will be available for testing.

Diablo 2 Resurrected Class Balance Changes

This exciting new addition to the game comes with a host of class balance changes and updates to the game's mercenaries.

Since the classes have remained the same since "Patch 1.13c, which was released back on March 23, 2010", each character's kit received a fresh paint job. While Amazon и Necromancer largely remain the same Assassin, Paladin и Barbarian see some adjustments in their fighting skills.

In addition, weaker elemental skills druids и sorceresses will receive a much-needed mana boost, and Summon First will be deadlier than ever before.

GENERAL GAMEPLAY CHANGES

  • The character hit block will no longer apply while your character is playing the skill pre-animation (the block will still trigger for the skill animation after casting).
  • Changed how attack speed is determined when dual wielding weapons. Switching weapons between hands should no longer result in wildly different attack speeds.
  • Character hit recovery will now have a decreasing recoil when hit by another player.
