The next Fortnite v16.50 update has been announced and it will bring back the "fan-favorite" weapons along with another wild week and bug fixes that have piled up in the game.
We've been hearing hints of what Fortnite might be adding to the game ahead of the v16.50 patch update. While it remains to be seen what exactly Epic has to offer, we now know exactly when to expect the upcoming update.
As Season XNUMX draws to a close, Epic might not completely overhaul the Battle Royale meta, but it might make enough changes to keep the game fresh.
We'll be keeping an eye on the full patch notes as they become available, and below you'll find everything we know about the v16.50 patch.
When will Fortnite v16.50 be released?
Fortnite players are always looking forward to when the next patch rollback will deal with the last few games before the upcoming update.
As such, make sure you're in the latest matches before shutting down the servers and loading v16.50 on May 25th at around 8am ET.
That's when we expect the game to take a short break, and if there are any changes, we'll be sure to update times as more information becomes available.

Update v16.50 is scheduled for release on May 25. Downtime will begin at approx. 4 AM ET (08:00 UTC).

Along with the announcement, Epic Games also teased the return of "fan-favorite" weapons after the release of the new update.
While the community can come up with many options, we already have a hint of what weapons could be making a comeback.
There's going to be an epic week 11 challenge ahead, according to the FNAssist leaker, which apparently challenges players to "deal damage with dual pistols."
