Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 may be one of the biggest seasons we've had in quite some time. Early news is already popping up around some skins and content, so let's run through the update.
The release of any season of Fortnite is something that brings the entire game community together to appreciate all the hard work that Epic Games has done in creating a new Battle Royale world every time.
Since there is so much information about the update currently, we have collected it for you in one place!
Fortnite season 7 start time
The update and downtime of the server will begin at 9:00 or 10:00 in the morning, and we will be allowed into the game closer to 13:00. There is a possibility that the delay will last until 17:00 Moscow time.

One of the clues we need to clarify this time is that the season 7 trailer is scheduled to premiere on 9:00 am Moscow time , so this should indicate when the downtime to install the update starts.

alien takeover
Epic Games spent the final weeks of Season 6 teasing the alien takeover of the island: circles appeared in the fields on the island, and UFOs flew across the sky and kidnapped players and moved them to other locations.
Now it looks like the aliens are hovering over Fortnite Island in their Mothership. They were collecting items from the island in order to analyze them, perhaps to see what exactly was going on in the game.
Players can also now take control of UFOs that previously abducted them. They will be able to ride around on them, kidnap other players, heal teammates, and also deal serious damage to opponents.
Rick and Morty Superman Crossover
The creators of Fortnite are well known for partnering with modern brands and including them in Fortnite at some point. This was evident during Season 4 as the entire Battle Pass and map was all about Marvel and they are continuing that movement.
With the release of the new Season 17 Battle Pass, it has been revealed that players can unlock two major crossovers: the iconic DC superhero Superman and animated character Rick Sanchez from the popular Rick and Morty series.
Since both Superman and Rick and Morty hail from an extraterrestrial planet, this makes sense with the theme of being taken over by aliens.

There are four new alien-themed weapons that players can use in their Season 17 Victory Royale quest. First, this Kymera Ray Gun , which fires a continuous beam of energy that can melt both structures and enemy players.

They follow the changes made with the 2020 release of Fortnite for next-generation consoles. According to Epic, both 'Battle Royale' and 'Creative Mode' benefit from improved storm and cloud effects, as well as improved smoke and liquid simulation."
This means "cooler-looking explosion, fire, and slap effects." Post-processing features such as highlights will also be improved, as well as improved shadow quality.

Fortnite season 17 bug fixes
As usual, the Fortnite dev team will also send a few bug fixes as mentioned on official Trello board . Only a few issues have been resolved in this patch, including battle royale, world save, and creative mode.

- Shanty for a Squad Emote desyncs when attached to players who are already singing.
- Difficulty scrolling through the list of players in the "Voice Chat" tab on the controller.
- Unable to complete Last Forever Emote.
battle royale
- It is not possible to fish in some vehicles.
- Several picks are disabled in the competition.
- Taking damage through cars while driving.
- Unable to craft Mechanical Bows or Primal Fire Bow in Main Modes after playing in Competitive Mode.
creative
- Rounds do not report correct placements.
- Unmanned vehicles destroy props when environmental damage is disabled.
- Asset memory size is not displayed in XL island pre-staging mode.
- Boats only work with certain island templates.
- A barrier device that does not prevent players from passing through them.
