Update Fortnite 23.20 is here, so we've put together patch notes with all the new features, including The Kid LAROI collaboration, more reality improvements, and the Falcon Scout item.
After a long, long winter hiatus, it's been over a month since the Winterfest update came out! On Wednesday, January 18th, Fortnite is finally getting a proper midseason update with new content and bug fixes.
From The Kid LAROI's upcoming collab to Dead Space crossover rumors and a bit of speculation about what else will happen in the next few weeks, here are the Fortnite 23.20 update notes.
Fortnite 23.20 Update Notes
Scout Falcon breaks into
First teased in the Chapter 4 trailer, the Falcon Scout item is finally being added to the game after the 23.20 update. You can find it by searching Oathbound Chests.
The Falcon Scout will fly around your current location and highlight nearby enemies and items with a red marker. He can also collect reload cards and pick up downed teammates.
New additions to reality are here
Five more reality augmentations have been added to Fortnite with the 23.20 update, which you can see below:
- The Pili Heist: Obtain a treasure map that will lead you to buried treasure.
- Shotgun Striker: Your shotgun fire will give you a siphon when hitting enemies.
- Rarity Check: Get a Siphon on elimination with common and uncommon weapons.
- Zero Chance: Temporarily gain the Zero Point ability each time you break an enemy's shield.
- Dangerous Hero: Briefly regenerate health and gain movement speed when your shield breaks.
You can unlock them just like other reality add-ons by playing battle royale matches and adding them to your download.
Kid LAROI Collaboration Confirmed
Epic Games has confirmed that The Kid LAROI will take over the radio station in Fortnite with a live concert in the game. The developers also revealed that a new emote will appear as part of this collaboration. It will include the song STAY by Justin Bieber featuring The Kid LAROI.
After several leaks on social media, Epic has finally confirmed that The Kid Laroi's live concert will indeed take place in Fortnite later this month. According to the official announcement, the live concert will take place on Wild Dreams Island The Kid LAROI with Friday, January 27, 2023.
In addition, this island will feature some of The Kid Laroi's upcoming songs, including Love again. In addition, players will also be able to play other unreleased songs like island Wild Dreams The Kid LAROI, and on Afterparty Island starting January 27th.
Will there be a Dead Space collaboration?
Following in the footsteps of Tomb Raider, Resident Evil and God of War, leaks have suggested that Dead Space could be the next major video game franchise to make the jump to Fortnite.
According to the message Insiders Gaming, the Dead Space collaboration is scheduled for January 23, which will be well connected with DeadSpace Remakereleased just a few days later.

New skins and quests
As with every update, a plethora of skins will be added to the game, including the Midseason Drop styles for Doom Slayer and Dusty, which you can unlock by completing their respective challenges.
There will also be new weekly quests, as well as a continuation of the Oathbound Quests storytelling, which means you could be one step closer to unlocking all of these Battle Pass skins.

Fortnite 23.20 update bug fixes
There are several bug fixes in the Fortnite 23.20 update, which you can see below:
- Fixed an issue that caused us to disable Deku Smash in Battle Royale/Zero Build. Deku Smash has been re-included in the Battle Royale/Zero Build.
- Fixed issues related to the robe where players would occasionally dash across the map.
- Fixed a bug due to which in some cases the sprint was disabled for the duration of the match.
- Reality add-ons can once again be unlocked from teammates.
- Players can again deal damage to objects with a pickaxe in sequence.
- Players can now select reality add-ons while on the Dirt Bike.
- Players can now use Guardian Shield while on the back of an OG Bear pickup or Dirt Bike.
