Genshin Impact 1.1 Update - Release Date, Description, and More
MiHoYo has just announced when the highly anticipated Genshin Impact 1.1 update will hit the live servers. Find out everything you need to know about the upcoming patch.
Genshin Impact players from all over the world have been busy traveling the beautiful lands of Teyvat in search of new treasures, blasting through enemy-filled dungeons, battling monolithic monsters, and adding exciting new characters to their roster. While most players will still be busy unlocking areas of the map and working through unfinished quests, many dedicated adventurers have already begun to run out of business.
We've heard a lot of rumors about the upcoming 1.1 patch for Genshin Impact, but now we can confirm when the first game update will be released. This news came from the official miHoYo development team , which told us what fans can expect from the 1.1 patch and also told us about future updates.
When will update 1.1 for Genshin Impact be released?
Version 1.1 is expected to be updated on November 11th and the Unreturned Star event will be released. While we don't have any confirmed details on what this event will entail, we do know that there will be new character banners. These badges will give you the opportunity to get new units and powerful weapons. While miHoYo hasn't specified if the leaked characters will appear in this patch, we've included a brief description of each below.
- Zhong Li , a character with geo-referenced who dominates his opponents with lightning fast spear combinations
- Dione , the archwife of Cyro who supports her allies with life-saving AoE healing.
- childe , another bow user who shoots charged arrows filled with a hydraulic element.
- blue, a musical character who uses her electric guitar to create fire shields that block incoming damage.
miHoYo also gave the following statement, which we roughly translated. “Currently, the contents of the next version are in stable development. The development team will make every effort to ensure that the version is updated every 6 weeks.” This will mean that fans will have enough time to complete both of the game's current quests before each subsequent update adds fresh content.
The official announcement goes on to say, “Major version update will usually be on Wednesday (the specific update rhythm and update nodes are subject to actual conditions). Each subsequent major version update will open the version theme action.
Future Genshin Impact Updates
While miHoYo briefly talked about what fans can expect from Update 1.1, they also provided the following details on future content plans for the game. Here are all the upcoming Genshin Impact updates and their scheduled activities:
