League of Legends Update 11.4: Samira Nerf, Jungle Changes
The League of Legends 11.4 patch update cycle has begun - here are all the first notes for the February 18th update, including more changes to the Forest and Samira nerfs that are intended to give the infamous ADC more "weakness".
After last week's massive 11.3 patch, the league balance team took a step back from a long list of changes. Instead, Riot developers are now taking a close look at the forest, whose changes they feel are "affecting the game too much."
On top of that, the LoL team is taking another stab at season 11's best healing items like Moonstone Renewer, main part combo " Moonstone Staff ».
A number of champions will also be nerfed, including Samira - Riot are looking to 'weaken' the controversial ADC, as well as Camille, Skarner, and pros like Renekton and Kai'Sa.
Here are all the details about the League of Legends 11.4 patch coming out next week.
When will the League of Legends 11.4 patch be released?
The next League of Legends Season 11 update is expected on Thursday, February 18th. It will begin in Oceania at 10:00 AM EST and will roll out to all regions at approximately 6:00 AM PST (8:00 GMT) from there.
Players can expect several hours of downtime. Matchmaking and access to the league servers will be disabled three hours before the new patch is installed. This will begin around 3:00 AM PT on February 18th for North American players and at 5:00 AM GMT for EU players.
Changes in Patch 11.4 LoL
Samira is weakened through nerfs
Since the release of patch 10.19, Desert Rose has been the leader in the bot lane, her explosive damage is uncommon among ADC champions.
Due to her unique playstyle, Samira was not easy to balance for the League's development team; it has had a positive win rate since its release, even with a whopping 15,38% pick percentage. Even worse, in the eyes of Riot, she was banned from 47,46% of all solo queue games.
To counteract her influence, the LoL developers have nerfed her a bit. These nerfs should "reveal some of the weaknesses" of ADC. There is also hope that the decrease in the number ( to be announced this week ) will “remove the tools” to counteract it.
Riot removes "impact" from forest changes
Now that we're on a few patches into Season 11, the league balance team has taken another look at junglers and how much power they'll have in the game in 2021.
“One set of changes we're working on for 11.4 is some loosening of positions for the forest,” Yetter explained. “This should reduce the power of the forest before the 10th season. This position currently has too much impact on the game.”
Gromp, Krug and Razorbeak's camps will take more effort to kill, confirmed Yetter , and bring less gold and experience. This is to keep the jungle experience a bit hidden.
These changes will primarily affect carry junglers like Graves and Nidalee, who have almost unquestionably ruled the Rift since the start of Season 11. The nerfs also mean Riot can bundle "a few buffs" into 11.4 without fear of "power loss". . »
The League of Legends 11.4 patch will be released on Thursday, February 18th. We will continue to add all planned balance changes when Riot releases specific numbers.
