League of Legends Update 12.23: Major Forest Changes, Maokai Buff

LoL update 12.23 is on its way and Riot Games is balancing out the changes in Season 13. The first to be affected by the patch are jungle champions and tanks, both receiving significant overhauls to stabilize the meta ahead of the January ranked launch. Below you will find a preview of the upcoming update:

13 season League of Legends accepted with a bang. With the pre-season update going live on LoL patch 12.22, players are slowly but surely getting used to all the new changes.

However, there were a few exceptions during the first weeks. The best duelists are incredibly strong with new items and role adjustments, leaving tanks on the bench. Likewise, lesneks are a bit broken by exploits and balancing issues.

Those are two major changes at the top of Riot's list for LoL 12.23 patch as it looks to stabilize the meta over the holidays and ahead of the launch of the January ranked season. Here's what you need to know about the upcoming December update.

When does the LoL 12.23 update start?

League of Legends Patch 12.23 is due to go live 7 декабря 2022 года right on schedule.

Note that this will be the last major update for League of Legends in 2022. Following the launch of LoL patch 12.23, Riot will be taking a break during the Christmas break, returning to kick off Season 13 in the new year.

There will be several hours of downtime when the fix begins, and matchmaking queues will be disabled approximately three hours prior.

Forest

Common

• Pet's net damage will be reduced from 20 to 16.
• Built-in 20% damage booster will not work on epic monsters
• 10% bonus magic/armor resistance converted to pure pet damage
• Bonus health ratio will decrease from 4% to 3%
• Health when killing a monster per level will increase from 3 to 6
• Mana for killing a monster per level will increase from 2 to 4
• The gold reward will decrease from 50 to 35.
• Experience multiplier will increase from 1-1,35 to 1-1,45 (levels 1-9)
• There will be partial compensation of nerfs for experience in the jungle with the start of the new season

Monsters

• Gromp auto attack distance reduced from 175 to 150
• Razorbeak's auto attack range reduced from 300 to 200
• The center of the leash will be moved away from the spawn site of the camp. This will give more room for the champions and the kite to move around.

Ishtal Ishamander (forest pet)

• Toughness buff duration reduced from 3 to 1,5 seconds
• Toughness type will change from Item to Champion

The release of patch 12.23 is scheduled for the night of December 7th. Riot Games will rework Zeri and Dr. Mundo, as well as buff Kassadin. All balance changes will become available on the official website of the game the day before the release of the update.
