Monster Hunter Rise: Sunset received a new version update today. Patch 10.0.3 introduced a series of bug fixes to the game to iron out performance inconsistencies.
Ever since Master Rank hit the live servers last week, players have experienced a lot of issues with the game in terms of bugs that were causing their systems to crash.
Hence, one of the biggest highlights of the patch will be the fix that Capcom just introduced for a bug where PC players were temporarily unable to play the Sunbreak expansion even after purchasing or activating it. This caused the game to crash on launch and has been one of the biggest issues for PC players for some time.
The developers have also fixed other major bugs in the latest patch, some of which also made their way into the Insect Glaive monster essence collection, along with Palico moves.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak version 10.0.3 patch notes
Players
- Fixed an issue that caused your Palico support moves to change randomly when teaching them certain secret support moves.
- Fixed a bug that prevented Reload Rating from being restored by 2 levels if you removed the Elemental Reload Switch skill after performing a certain set of actions with a light bow.
- (We have also confirmed a bug in the reboot display in the Hardware Information section, and it will be fixed in the next update.)
Monsters
- Fixed an issue that caused the game to crash when performing a certain chain of attacks using the Kinsect Bug Repellent: Enhanced Powder Extract on Rakna Kadaki or Rakna Kadaki Feast.
Locations and environment
- Fixed a bug in Buddy Scout's dialogue regarding newly added Buddy Skills that was targeting all players, not just affected players.
Quests
- For quests A1★ and A2★, the health of all monsters and the attack power of some monsters have been adjusted.
Base and facilities
- Fixed an issue that sometimes caused the game to freeze after using the lottery with amiibo
Mixed
- Fixed an issue that caused the player to temporarily lose the right to play Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak when purchasing or activating DLC during gameplay.
- Various other bugs have been fixed.
Nintendo users will be able to check the version their device is running by looking at the bottom right corner of the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak title screen. A subscription to Nintendo Switch Online is required to play the game online. However, players who do not have internet access will be able to play the local multiplayer game as long as their version of the game matches.
