Once you regain control, head towards the bridge. You will learn how to use the joysticks to change the camera angle and move. Approach the yellow marker and press the button L2, to continue.
You will learn how to jump using the X button by tilting the left stick and holding a direction. Head towards the bridge and you will learn about using your Soul Chain. Move towards the bridge until the blue light shines, then press the L2 button to pull yourself forward.
Keep moving forward towards the target marker and you will begin combat training. You learn to block, roll and attack. Defeat Tiny Sopponce you have learned all the moves in the tutorial.
Examine the yellow marker and you will fight another enemy. You will learn how to perform various slashes using the Triangle and Square button. Defeat the enemy if you haven't already. Examine the next marker and three targets will appear. You will learn how to block them with the R3 button and how to switch blocked targets. Defeat three enemies to continue.
You will then encounter a statue and learn how to do a flying kick while jumping into the air. You will learn to make two, then three strikes before you can defeat the enemy.
Once the combat tutorial is over, look to the rock northwest of the training area to find a blue spot that you can use your Soul Chain on. Move forward to the objective marker, where Odin will tell you about the souls of the dead.
You will learn how to summon Einherjar with the R1 button by pressing R1 + Circle or R1 + Triangle to summon Einherjar to battle. Defeat the mobs after both Einherjars have been summoned. After the battle, you will learn about the Soul Gauge under your health bar and the different types of souls.
Examine the nearby objective marker and you will learn about the Divine Arts. Each Divine Art has special attributes that can be useful against enemies. You only have access to one Divine Art (R2 + Triangle), but it is still weak to newly summoned enemies. Defeat them to continue and you will learn about the Arts Gauge.
Head up the stairs in front of you and you'll see a large open gap. You will learn how to use Einherjar to solve puzzles and pass obstacles on your way. Press R3 to lock the target, then use R1 + Circle to summon Ice Einherjarto create an ice platform that you can jump over.
Reach the next objective marker and you will learn about Einherjar granting you elemental attacks. You can switch between them if both are on the board, and you can also upgrade your Divine Art if the element matches Einherjar. Currently Einherjarplotted on R1 + Triangle corresponds to your Divine Art. Use the combination to destroy the enemy waves that appear.
Head towards the newly created objective marker after all enemies have been defeated. You will learn about the weaknesses of enemies and how to determine which enemies are weak. This leads to another fight with enemies who are all weak to Electricity/Lightning. R1 + Triangle Einherjar is perfect for this fight, as is your only Divine Art.
After the fight, head to the objective marker near the big rock. Use R1 + Einherjar's Triangle to break it and keep moving forward. Behind the rock there will be a treasure chest with Magic Gem x10.
Turn around and head towards the objective marker in the northeast, up the stairs. Break through another rock (don't forget to press R3 before calling Einherjar) when it blocks the doorway. Use your Chain of Souls to get to the top of the railing.
You will eventually reach a room where you will learn about the Combo Gauge. Enemies will appear and you must defeat them in order to continue. Some enemies will be engulfed in flames (Jack Lantarn), which means they are weak to Ice Einherjar (R1 + Circle).
Continue forward after the fight, going up the stairs on the right. You will encounter another group of enemies, but they will have weapons (Soul Hunters). They also don't have any weaknesses that you can exploit. Luckily, you will learn how to use your Soul Chain in combat. Lock on an enemy with R3, then press L2 to get close to them for attacks. This helps close the distance with spawning archers (Hollow Hunters) as well as zipping across the battlefield.
Follow the objective marker after the fight and you will reach another obstacle. Use Ice Einherjar to create an ice platform (don't forget to lock on first) to get down.
You will face more enemies as you progress and all types of enemies you have faced so far will appear. Use your knowledge of combat and elements to defeat them all. Keep following the objective marker and you will encounter the Scarlet Dragon. This teaches you about the weak points (dragon's tail). He is also weak to Ice, which is perfect for your Ice Einherjar.
You will also learn about the automatic summoning of Einherjar after defeating the Scarlet Dragon, which requires a skill to learn. The second Scarlet Dragon will appear shortly after you close the tutorial and you need to defeat him to continue.
Keep following the objective marker to get to another area where you fight the regular Tiny Sopp enemies along with the Scarlet Dragon. More enemies will arrive as the initial wave is destroyed. Keep your guard up and summon your Einherjar / use your Divine Art to fight effectively.
Head towards the blue light at the end of the path that leads to your first boss fight. Before it starts, you'll learn about elemental gauges that fill up when you encounter a boss weakness. When the gauge fills up, you can hit them with the Divine Art corresponding to the specified element. This knocks the boss down for a while, but once they're up, you won't be able to refill the gauge again for a short period.
The giant boss is big but slow. His attacks are easy to read and you can easily dodge them. Stay behind the boss whenever possible. It is weak to Electricity/Lightning, and summoning Electricity/Lightning Einherjar will help build an elemental gauge. The weak point of the bosses is his head, which you can target after he drops to his knees. Use your Divine Art to keep the boss immobilized and then hit his weak spot until he gets up again. Repeat the process until the boss falls.
After the boss fight, examine the treasure chest in the center of the arena. Enter the blue light in the center when you're done.
You will arrive in Valhalla after the scene. Ascend the throne in front of you and speak to Odin. After you've been briefed on your mission, turn around and walk under the floating ball. Interact with him to travel to Midgard. Your first destination is the Beelzean Territory, which begins with Chapter 1: Cleanse the Soul.
