The official GTA 6 logo? Alleged Rockstar merch spotted online
Alleged Rockstar Games merchandise is taking fire on social media as a temporary store update may have just revealed the official GTA 6 logo.
With confirmation that GTA 6 is in development, fans will be looking for any scraps of information they can get their hands on. From merged images to supposed details of the story, there is never a shortage of information that appears to captivate the crowd.
While nothing has been made official yet, not even as much as the logo, that hasn't stopped further alleged leaks from rocking the boat again.
In the latest wave, fans have pointed to a supposed update to the Rockstar Games online store. While there is no concrete evidence that this temporary update is legal, many are convinced that it has just given us our first look at the official GTA 6 logo.
The Rockstar merch online page was reportedly updated on April 15th with one new item. Based on a screenshot taken before the store was supposedly updated, this new item was not fully ready for launch.
Instead of having a proper label and instead of having a price, the new jersey in focus was codenamed and seemed to be free. Named "Black_Americas_Logo", this garment featured a unique logo for what could only be GTA 6.
With classic Roman numerals displaying "VI" with pink and blue coloring, many have taken this leaked photo to be their first look at GTA 6's official logo.
At the moment, no one is talking about its authenticity. On one side of the equation, famous GTA leaks claimed it was a logo they had seen before elsewhere on the site.
Meanwhile, others have denied the claims, claiming that Rockstar's website hasn't been updated at all in the last 24 hours. Even if this alleged jersey was only available for a few seconds, it would probably still be visible through a third party archive like the Wayback Machine.
As a result, it is obviously worth taking this information with a huge amount of skepticism. While it could very well be GTA 6's definitive logo, chances are it's just another fake in a long line of fan designs.
Now that the next generation version of GTA 5 is available, Rockstar is fully focused on the upcoming sequel.
One way or another, we will definitely get confirmation in the near future.
Since Rockstar themselves confirm that GTA 6 is in development, it's only a matter of time before we get an official logo along with the very first trailer.
