Description of Black Ops Cold War November 23 Update
Treyarch has released another brand new patch for Black Ops Cold War that fixes some minor issues.
If you were worried that Treyarch might not be updating Black Ops Cold War as much as it needed to since launch, then it looks like you are very wrong. In the end, the developer released the first major patch for the game on Friday, November 20, and shortly after that, released another patch, mainly related to the zombie mode.
Now, just a couple of days after this update, Treyarch has already released another update for Black Ops Cold War, making it the third in just a few days. The patch itself is relatively minor and addresses a few small but notable issues in the game's multiplayer and zombie modes.
The biggest changes in the November 23 update for multiplayer and zombies
The most notable fix in this new update, at least in multiplayer, has to do with spawning. There have been two minor fixes here, one specifically for Hardpoint and one for dual-map weighting.
In the end, any fix, no matter how small, is welcome given that it's always a point of contention in the community.
In addition to the introduction, we also fixed an issue with body armor not providing protection to players in Hardcore mode and a UI bug in Fireteam: Dirty Bomb.
As for the zombies, a bug related to the improvement of the Ring of Fire field has also been fixed, as well as the Megaton boss. In rare cases, the creature sometimes became invincible.
MULTIPLAYER
Spawning
- Adjusted Hardpoint spawn logic to reduce average travel time to active Hardpoints.
- Adjusted enemy respawn weight in Crossroads Strike and Armada Strike.
Fireteam: Dirty Bomb
- Fixed a UI error that could sometimes occur when loading into a Fireteam: Dirty Bomb match on Ruka.
Perks
- Fixed an issue where body armor could not properly protect the player from explosive damage in Hardcore modes.
ZOMBIE
Field updates
- Fixed an issue where the player could earn a Field Refresh Charge while their Fire Nova was active.
Enemies
- Fixed an issue where zombies would sometimes unexpectedly use a ranged attack.
- Fixed a rare issue where Megaton would rarely become permanently invincible after being split.
Stability
