November 29 Marvel Snap Patch Notes

The biggest Marvel Snap update is now in the spotlight. Collectible tokens, a token store, and 16 new cards in Pool 4 and Pool 5 are just the tip of the iceberg. Here's a full rundown of the latest patch notes.

It's only been six weeks since the full release of the Marvel Snap, and this update is undoubtedly the biggest drop in content to date. After months of community demand, the method of manually unlocking certain cards is now powered by Collector Tokens.

Not only that, but a whopping 16 cards have been added to the mix at the same time as Pool 4 and Pool 5 cards are now available in the Marvel Snap.

Collectible Tokens Arrive at Marvel Snap

After months of waiting, Collector's Tokens have finally arrived as part of the November 29 Marvel Snap update. This new currency allows players to directly purchase certain cards from the token store, rather than relying on luck through the reward track."Collection level».

Collector's Tokens can be unlocked through Collector's Caches and Collector's Reserves in the "Collection Level" reward track. Read more about it here with our complete guide.

16 new cards in pools 4 and 5

Headlining the latest patch is the arrival of Pool 4 and Pool 5. With these extremely rare levels comes 16 new cards. From Thanos and Galactus to Luke Cage and Agent Coulson, many fan favorites are sure to shake up the meta heading into The Power Cosmic season next week.

Below is a full overview of each new card that arrived as part of the November 29th Marvel Snap update.

Marvel Snap Pool 4 Maps (Collection Level 486+)

Full Marvel Snap Nov 28 Patch Notes

Patch Highlights

  • NEW FEATURE: Collectible Tokens are here! You can earn them starting at collection level 500 and then use them in the token store to target new cards or the cards you've been waiting for the most.
  • NEW CARDS: A bunch of new cards have been added to the game! We have introduced two brand new series: Series 4 with 10 cards; and Series 5, including 6 new cards. New cards have a chance to drop from Collector's Caches, Collector's Reserves, and can also be found in the Token Shop.

General Updates

  • Card boosters no longer appear as rewards from collector's caches and collectible reserves. (They have been replaced with collectible tokens!)
  • Improved bad luck protection for collector caches and collection reserves. In the future, players at the same collection level will have almost the same number of cards.
  • When you "Select" a card variant (by clicking the "Star" button above the card), you now have the option to automatically change that variant to all decks containing that card.
  • During gameplay, players can now click on their opponent's avatar or their own avatar to view player names in the avatar's pop-up menu.
  • The End Turn button is disabled for a few seconds when your opponent Snaps - this should make it harder to accidentally take a Snap.
  • Improved performance for app startup and load times.
  • Added support for Sign in with Apple on PC.

Art and visuals

  • Improved the visual effects of Infinity Border. Maps upgraded to Infinity look MUCH COOLER!
  • Flare modifiers earned from Infinity Split now have a chance to roll one of seven different colors: Red, Green, Blue, Purple, Black, White, and Gold. Flare modifiers unlocked prior to this update will now rotate through multiple colors.
  • Card emojis have been given a bit of polish to make them a little easier to use and view.
  • Logos have been added to Cards & Location Power Modifiers in the game. (Click on a map or location to see what changes it!)

Balance update

  • Angela [2/1] -> [2/0]

Developer Comment: Angela is a card that sees a lot of prevalence in a lot of decks, so we're unnerving her a bit to make the other options more appealing.

  • Destroyer [6/16] -> [6/15]

Developer comment: Destroyer makes big waves. Reducing his strength by 1 will give opponents more chances to win the Location in which he played.

  • Mysterio [2/5] -> [2/4]

Developer Comment: Mysterio has more power than other 2-Cost cards due to how many "slots" it takes up elsewhere. However, in many cases these extra 2/0 illusions prove to be quite useful, so we reduce his base Strength by 1.

  • Sulfur [5/5] -> [5/4]

Developer comment: Sera is a bit too good right now, so we're turning the power down a bit.

  • The Onslaught ability now stacks additively with effects like Mystic or Onslaught Citadel instead of exponentially.

Developer Comments: When you start stacking the Onslaught's Doubling effect, things get out of hand very quickly! We want to avoid situations where players wait for cards like Ironheart to play their animation for long stretches of time, so we're changing the stacking to be additive instead of exponential.

  • Nick Fury was added to Series 3.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed French VO mix
  • Improved translation for many languages
  • Fixed art issues on many maps
  • Improved messaging when trying to sign into an old build on another device
  • Fixed a soft lock that would occur if you hadn't previously set a name and then the season rolled.
  • Fixed an issue that caused some players to get stuck in the Rookie Season after the season ended.
  • Fixed an issue where the client could crash after switching languages.
  • Cards drawn by the White Queen no longer appear out of place in your hand.
  • Updated Agatha Harkness' dialogue to refer to Boosters instead of Card XP
  • Daredevil VFX no longer appears on the game results screen.
  • Danger Room VFX should now play stably when the map is destroyed.
  • Kraven VFX no longer plays as you when you draw a card if Kraven is on your opponent's side.
  • Omega Red on Bar Sinister no longer has overly repetitive VFX.
  • Purchasing a variant from the Daily Deals section should no longer cause the button to be invisible on the next refresh.
  • The Key Art splash screen should load properly when the game starts.
  • Updated the buy button UI for things like Mission Refresh to remove some text as it was too small in most languages.
  • Collector cache/reserve icons display correctly if you focus them after receiving a new card from them.
  • The stated UI is now displayed above the season caches instead of below it.
  • Star-Lord Boosters should now be the correct color at the end of the game.
  • Bets are doubled correctly if Limbo turns into another location on the 6th turn and ends the game.
  • Electro's ability must be properly removed when hit by Enchantress.
  • iOS devices should no longer have a gap at the top of the Season Pass header image.
  • Improved Morph's performance when revealed (he spends less time on "Morph" than he used to).
  • Improved icon/font power value on card/location in in-game view to not be bold and blurry.
  • Playing cards in quick succession should no longer show VFX from previous cards.
  • Added SFX for clicking on enemy avatar.
  • Adjusted navigation bar button collision to have less overlap.
  • Fixed in-game Bug Reporter and Settings popup not showing/handling touches properly
  • Location, TVA, now properly doubles the number of dice on the last turn (i.e. turn 4)
  • The best communication is when you have all Infinity Split combinations for a card.
  • [PC] Decks can scroll properly in fullscreen if you have more than 5 decks.
  • [PC] Fixed an issue that caused the game window to reset after opening settings and then switching scenes.

List of known issues

  • Some players may experience a "Something went wrong" error when applying from the collection level.
  • Loss of network connectivity and reconnection during client startup may require a client restart to connect properly.
  • If you have more than 20 back maps, the back map window does not scroll fully.
  • Can remove cards out of order during FTUE deck editing and softlock until reload.
  • Cancel actions UI can open on top of the retreat popup and soft block until reload.
  • The text "Option" is placed on the spotlight card of the Season Pass.
  • Murderworld, Gamma Lab, and Warrior Falls have a delay when activating their abilities.
  • Bar Sinister VFX is not playing correctly
  • Agatha Harkness's post-game text field UI is not displaying correctly.
  • Some maps have additional textures when upgraded to Uncommon at the end of the game.
  • The sort and filter buttons are too tall on some iOS devices.
  • You often have to double tap to buy an option in the store.
  • After updating the daily offers, it may take too long for the map assets to load.
  • The sorting and filtering user interface elements can be opened at the same time.
  • When you favor a card, you are prompted to trade that card for decks, even if you have that option in all of your decks.
  • If there are no packages available, the package icon is still displayed at the top of the store UI and there is some empty space.
  • Closing the package preview window for individual items may result in a return to the store page instead of the package preview window.
  • If you are on the store screen when the update countdown ends, the countdown may go into negative values ​​a couple of seconds before the update.
  • The touch area for the map preview in the token store is too small.
  • The buy and cancel buttons are too close to each other on the buy token screen.
  • The Token Shop help button can be hard to hit.
  • Some of the Token/Bundle UI elements scroll up/down too far when you scroll the store up/down.
  • You may see the wrong warning for the credit limit when you click it.
