Riot Games is releasing their first Act 2 Valorant update, slightly off schedule due to the developer's week-long hiatus. On August 20, Valorant 1.06 patch will be released with balancing settings, bug fixes and more.
While there was a lot of anticipation for the launch of Act 2 episode 1, when Agent Killjoy was released, it wasn't without its problems.
In fact, some problems with the agent led to her being completely suspended from one of the biggest professional FaZe Clan tournaments at the moment.
So, this update includes various bug and crash fixes found since the Act 2 update itself, as well as some other changes in response to community feedback and developer plans.
Although updates are usually released on Tuesdays, the scheduled break for developers changed the release schedule patch 1.06, which will go live on Thursday, August 20th.

AGENTS UPDATES
- The sound and visual effects for blinding effects (Phoenix Curveball and Breach Flashpoint) should better indicate when to look away and when to look again
WEAPON UPDATES
- ➤All guns updated, now they are less accurate when fired in the air.
- Airborne spread penalty increased .5 >>> 1,25
- While shotguns do well in the situations they are supposed to be in, there have been times when people have accurately handled these weapons in the air. We hope to curb some of these encounters while still making them possible if you catch the enemy at close range. Now that we have a rest, we will explore other possible changes to shotguns.
THE QUALITY OF LIFE
- On Collection menu screens, the "Show Only Owned" toggle now persists between screens and client restarts.
ERROR CORRECTION
- Potential fix for a bug that sometimes causes the player's HUD to disappear.
- Fixed a bug in match history and match details that caused a tie between 3 or more players to not show up as a tie, instead showing the lowest rank as if they weren't even (thus a 3-way tie for 2nd place showed 4th PLACE instead of 2nd PLACE (LINKED)).
- Fixed a bug that allowed advancing towards competitive matchmaking for new players by dropping unranked games.
- ➤Losing games not will count towards the competitive requirements for the losing team.
- ➤Fixed an issue that caused "<Missing Rows Table>" to be displayed in the chat log.
- Fixed an issue that could cause strange player names to appear in chat when managing party invitations.
- Fixed an issue that caused some players to be missing rewards after completing Agent Contracts or the Act Battle Pass. The game should provide the missing rewards, including the missing rewards from Act 1.
