Overwatch 2 is the sequel to the first-person online team shooter. The game takes place on the Earth of the future, which is overwhelmed by a technological crisis. Soldiers, scientists, adventurers and weirdos have teamed up to form Overwatch to bring peace back to Earth.
Overwatch 2: New Heroes, Co-op Story Missions and More

Blizzard showed that the continuation of the shooter Overwatch 2 will have a new co-op focus and "shared multiplayer environment" with Overwatch 1.
Blizzard finally officially announced it today during the opening ceremony of BlizzCon: Overwatch 2 is on the way.
Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan has stated that the new game will be playable at BlizzCon. Simultaneously, the logos for the Overwatch PCs set up for the show all flipped to the Overwatch 2 logo, and it was very effective.
The new game will support all of the original heroes, maps, modes, as well as a new 6v6 PvP mode called Push. It will be available in casual and competitive mode.
In story missions, players will take on the roles of Overwatch team members in four-player cooperative missions against Omnic forces and "growing new threats around the world." Heroic missions will offer a different type of co-op experience that will allow players to level up their characters and earn customization options , which allow for powerful new abilities, such as modifying Reinhardt's fire strike to set nearby enemies on fire, or adding a chain reaction effect to Tracer's pulse bomb.
Unsurprisingly, Overwatch 2 will also see significant engine upgrades that allow for bigger maps for co-op, as well as new enemies and factions, and even more visual fidelity.
Why a sequel? What does this mean for me as a player of the original game? Well, we thought about it, and for us as gamers, sequels make us nervous. So, what we're hoping to do with Overwatch 2 is really redefining what a sequel means," Kaplan said on stage.
"For all original players of the current Overwatch game, you will be able to play on all of the same maps as Overwatch 2 players, including all brand new maps that are coming to Overwatch 2, and you will be able to play with all of the same heroes as Overwatch 2 players This will be a shared multiplayer environment where no one is left behind... We want to make sure all Overwatch cosmetics release with you in Overwatch 2, so your progress counts. Nothing is left behind."
