Quake Reboot With Female Protagonist Rumored To Be In Development

An Xbox insider shared the news that id Software's Quake franchise could potentially be rebooted, including a possible female lead.
Developer id Software has an extensive pedigree and legacy. Since the 90s, some fan-favorite franchises have been released that are supported to this day. Games like critically acclaimed Doom Everlasting, show that id Software is still capable of delivering a great first-person shooter. While Doom much loved in recent years, it's not the only franchise that id Software has been built on. Recently there was a rumor about a possible reboot Quake.
The rumor was spread on the XboxEra podcast by insider Shpeshal Nick, who talked about its developers, genre, and possible protagonist. He notes that he received a Discord message detailing this new game. Quake , which supposedly will be developed not only by id Software, but also with the support of MachineGames. The last company responsible for rebooting the series Wolfenstein , beginning with Wolfenstein: The New Order . Shpeshal Nick further reveals that the game will be both single and multiplayer.
The biggest bombshell that went off was that this reboot would supposedly feature a female protagonist. This isn't the first time an id Software game has had such an offer. During development Doom Eternal considered the female slayer , so maybe this idea is back to implementation. Since Ranger from the series Quake not as well defined in relation to the protagonist as Doom Slayer or BJ Blazkowicz, that would be an interesting idea to say the least.

While multiplayer fans got their own solution from this, many hoped that due to the success of the reboot Doom rebooted single - user experience could be conveyed and Quake .
In connection with digital event QuakeCon, which will take place this August , chances are a reboot will be introduced Quake . However, the message Nick received did not include a release date, so the amount of time that has already passed in the development of this rumored game is unknown. Until then, this is just a guess, and time will tell if it gets Quake single player mode to shine next to your franchise brother.
