New Half-Life: Alyx material has been released online. Tested editors had the opportunity to test new Valve products, and the video they posted shows clips of the game.
Whether we like it or not, Half-Life: Alyx is the only new thing we can look forward to in the Half-Life series. However, the first trailer was received surprisingly warmly (at least judging by the statistics), although it didn't show much of the game itself. But if that's not enough for you, there's a showcase of sorts for Half-Life: Alyx available on YouTube. This is not gameplay per se, because the material being tested focuses on discussing the experience of the current version of the game without directly showing the title. However, you can take a look at it on the screen in the background, as you can see below.
Some time ago, Valve assured that the new Half-Life will allow you to spend time comfortably even during long sessions. The footage provided by Tested seems to confirm this thesis. The testers spent 3 to 4 hours with the game, and the first session with the VR Valve Inder set took about an hour and a half. This is all the more important since Half-Life: Alyx isn't a short "VR experience" but a full production - it will take around 15 hours to complete. This can be seen not only in the large number of dialogues (including lines from Alix herself), but also, according to the channel team, in the rich opportunities for interaction with the game world. The protagonist's gravity gloves are at least as satisfying to use as the iconic gravity gun from Halva 2020. It probably won't convince everyone, but it all looks very promising, and a lot will probably change before the premiere. Half-Life: Alyx will debut in March XNUMX. It remains to be hoped that Valve will sooner consider it appropriate to share the standard presentation of the gameplay.
