First Full Trailer for Arcane, Netflix and Riot Games Series
The series based on the League of Legends universe "Arcane" received a full trailer showing some of the LoL characters known to the players.
A full-fledged trailer for the Arcane series based on the League of Legends universe and including some of the characters known to players was premiered today.
The series will be released on Netflix, and the premiere is scheduled for November 7 - three episodes will be released every week.
The first act of the series will be dedicated to the childhood of the main characters - Vi and Jinx.
Naturally, all this is done for a reason. The premiere of "Arcane" is dedicated to the LoL World Championship. In addition, studio head Nicolo Laurent said in a press release:
With the release of Arcane, a new chapter will begin for Riot Games. We can't wait to show players everything we have in store for them in the game itself, in esports, and in other entertainment formats.
The events of the series will unfold on the border between two cities - dysfunctional Zaun and luxurious Piltover. The brightest minds live here, but one invention upsets the balance: with a hextech, anyone can control magical energy.
Riot noted that the series is not tied to the game, so it can be watched as a standalone work.
In addition to the characters from the game, there will also be new faces. In particular, they mention Vander and Silko, who live in Zaun. They will play an important role in the fate of cities. Series co-creator Alex Yee adds:
The theme of duality is very important in the plot of Arcane. The characters live in two cities with opposite values and different opportunities, yet complement each other despite their differences. Each has its own merits and demerits. You can be a hero in your own story, but a villain in someone else's.
