On April 22, Neil Burger's new film "Generation Voyagers" (Voyagers) is released in Russian cinemas. The space drama with elements of a thriller has an interesting plot and a star cast - the titan Colin Farrell and the new Hollywood generation in the person of Ty Sheridan and Lily Rose-Depp.
About the film
The prospect of colonizing other planets is stuck in the mind somewhere between fantasy and the relentlessly impending future. No matter how much we try to turn a blind eye to environmental problems, sooner or later we will have to look around: the creators of Generation Voyager believe that this will happen in 50 years. When the Earth approaches to exhaust its resources, a new planet will be found, which can become a home, however, the path to it is not close - almost a hundred years. For the sake of the well-being of all mankind, only one generation will have to be sacrificed. Test tube-conceived children from the best of the nation (scientists, Nobel laureates and other decent people) will spend almost their entire lives aboard a ship so that their descendants can see the brave new world.
