There are powerful cheats for Call of Duty: Warzone For PS and Xbox
The community is warning that the next generation of console cheats will lead to even more frustration for honest players and developers in Warzone and other games.
Hacks have been haunting Warzone for a long time now, with shameless aimbotters even posting their cheats on Twitch for all to see. Things could get a lot worse now as new console cheats become more popular and smarter.
Vanguard anti-cheat analyst GamerDoc used his Anti-Cheat Police Department Twitter account to talk about the new wave of console-specific hacks that are hitting the market.
While console cheats aren't exactly new, they're a lot rarer than their PC counterparts (and usually only limited to Cronus Zen hardware), which has become a major problem in just about every game you can think of.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the next generation of cheating now available on consoles,” GamerDoc said, posting a video showing the hacks in action. "Console is no longer a safe place to legally play."
Games like Warzone have cross-platform play, so console players have the option to turn it off if they don't want to deal with cheaters on PC. But now the problem has spread to console games as well, which means no one is immune.
"The cheat uses machine learning and sends data to your controller whenever it sees a valid target, it's aim assist, but with more power, you don't even have to do anything, all you have to do is aim at the general area and the machine will do its best by itself,” he further explained. "Secondary machine, inputs are spoofed to the controller as if touched by a human."
What's even worse is how, according to GamerDoc, it will be difficult for developers to detect this cheat, meaning it will take a lot more time and resources to fix these console-related issues.
GamerDoc noted that it wasn't just Warzone that had issues, but literally every game as the hacks "can be used for any game that supports a controller".
“I just want to draw attention to the fact that consoles are not cheat-free,” he said. "It's stupid that anyone thinks it's not."
With CoD 2021, Halo Infinite, and Battlefield 2042 just around the corner, developers should be ready to take on these cheats.
