ASUS ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate unveiled - one of the most powerful smartphones of our time

ASUS, after numerous leaks, has finally introduced the ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate gaming flagship smartphones. These are analogues of the previous versions of ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro, but the updated models have a Dimensity processor from MediaTek.

To get the most out of the Mediatek chipset, ASUS engineers have developed an advanced cooling system. As for the processor itself, inside both smartphones is Dimensity 9000+ - one of the most productive solutions at the moment. The chip is supplemented with RAM up to 16 GB and ROM up to 512 GB.

Both phones feature a 6,78-inch OLED panel with 10-bit color depth, 165Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. The camera department remains the same - a 50MP 1/1,56-inch main sensor with 1,0µm pixels and an f/1,9 lens. There's also a 13-megapixel f/2,2 ultra-wide-angle camera and a 5-megapixel macro camera. The selfie module is equipped with a 12-megapixel sensor.

The battery capacity of the phones is the same - 6000 mAh. Supports 65W fast charging via USB Power Delivery. The appearance of smartphones has not changed much. The 6D Ultimate version has a ROG Vision color PMOLED display on the back, while the standard version features an RGB backlit ROG logo.

Even accessories for standard ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro are compatible with the new 6D and 6D Ultimate. However, it was not without innovations at all - ROG Phone 6D Ultimate received a special port on the back - you can install the AeroActive cooling system there, which will get "direct access" to the internal components of the device, increasing the efficiency of heat dissipation.

Pricing: The base ROG Phone 6D will start at £799 in the UK, while the Ultimate will cost at least £55 and comes with a system cooling AeroActive Cooler 000.

The new devices are currently only available in one color - Space Grey.
