This is the first list of Archon quests in Genshin Impact, completing which you will get Ember, Kaya and Lisa to your ranks, who will form your squad and strengthen it. You are also waiting for a lot of experience and pestilence.
In total, there are 3 chapters of the tasks of the Archons in the prologue, which territorially belong to Mondstadt:

Way of the Wanderer
“The deity took the twin, and plunged you into a deep sleep. After waking up, you wandered alone for a while until you met a strange companion named Paimon, thus starting your journey across the Teyvat continent…”

- Come to the bottom of the cliff

Walkthrough
After a few short scenes, you need to choose a twin. This doesn't change the plot, except for minor dialogue changes, so pick whichever option you like best. Then choose a name for your twin that will show up in game and during PvP later.
After the opening cutscene ends, you end up on a beach in an unknown location, talking to a fairy-like creature known as a Paimon. Paimon will be your travel companion throughout the game, helping you with everything from new discoveries and menu options to the shop and acquiring new characters.
After a brief overview of the history, a navigation and camera guide will appear, which will differ depending on the device you are using. If you are a PC user, you can switch to the controller scheme in the Settings menu. Use this opportunity to familiarize yourself with the controls and start exploring your surroundings.

Genshin Impact is a huge open world, so you'll find items and chests all the time as you travel through it, so always look for sparkles. Only in this first area, look out for crabs on the shore, and if you successfully catch one of them, you will receive a quick inventory guide. Here you will find all the items you discover and collect in the game, with a description of each one. For example, crabs are used in cooking.
Act 1: Passage The foreigner who caught the wind
A view from a height
You begin your journey in Starfall Valley, exploring the land and seeing its sights with Paimon.
Steps
- Follow the Path.
- Go to Paimon.
- Follow Paimon.
- Swim to the island across the lake.
Walkthrough
Continue along the path until you reach a river with a waterfall. At the waterline, you will find some calla lilies to collect, and if you go down into the river, you can grab some black bass. Be careful with your stamina while swimming because when it runs out you will drown.
Next, you'll come across a Sunsettia tree with lots of fruit to collect - this fruit can serve as a small HP recovery so it's definitely worth picking up while you're here. Mushrooms and mint can also be found in the area. After you've completed your exploration, approach Paimon for a cutscene and an explanation of the statues. Seven Archons.
When you get close to the bottom of the slope, Paimon will explain that you can swim up to the Statue in the middle of the lake. However, before you do so, turn left and head towards the floating blue spirit. This mysterious fairy, and if you follow her, she will lead you to a treasure chest. Sometimes you'll have to find two or more fireflies to access a treasure or area objective, so always look for more. Follow this creature, climb the tree, and chase the fairy until it turns into a statue, which reveals an Exquisite Chest. Open the chest and get a lot of rewards, including artifacts, source stones and ore.
Return to Paimon and keep an eye out for other items along the way. If you kill a squirrel, it will drop raw meat, which is also used in cooking and is an essential ingredient for some of the best recipes. Swim across Starfall Lake and head towards the Statue for a cut-scene that will open up a map revealing much of the surrounding area.
At the end of the cutscene, elemental skills will unlock.

Unexpected Forces
As you moved forward, the Statue of the Seven appeared on the horizon in front of you. At Paimon's suggestion, you go to investigate.
Steps
- Talk to Paimon
- Defeat the Slugs
- This will be displayed between each of the skill usage targets.
- Click/tap to reveal elemental skill
- Hold Elemental Skill

Walkthrough
After interacting with the Statue and having a short conversation with Paimon, you will come face to face with a pyro slime. This is an introduction to the special attack known as the Elemental Skill.
Now try your elemental skill on a slime that will send it back into the water. Two more slimes will appear and there will be a new requirement that asks you to hold the Elemental Skill button to charge the attack, thus creating a stronger version of the basic attack. Kill both slimes with a single charged attack of the elemental skill, after which the last group of 4 slimes will appear.
You may have noticed that after killing an enemy, you absorb a certain amount of elemental energy. This serves to charge up your Elemental Burst attack, which the game prompts you to unleash on a group of slugs. Press the button to send a whirlwind of wind through the group, and after they die, the quest will end and a whole bunch of new menu options will be available in the pause menu.
Note: Elemental Burst
The most powerful skill available to a character, they must recharge by defeating enemies and gathering elemental energy. Unlike the elemental skill, they do not have a cooldown, but once enough energy has been collected, you can use it. Again, each character has a unique explosive move that differs depending on which weapon and element the character is using. See section " Players » for information on specific techniques or the section « Gameplay » for more details on when to use them.

Meeting in the forest
Suddenly, the power of Anemo in the statue of Seven resonated with you. You decide to start your investigation with Anemo Archon of the Seven Archons of Teyvat. Thus, the first task of the day is to get to the land under the protection of the Anemo Archon: Mondstadt.

Walkthrough
Explore the new menu items available to you and check your inbox for rewards that can help you on your journey. From the pause menu, you can now access the character menu, add new friends from the Friends menu, and change the group setting. You can also read the many social features and game updates.
You'll also get access to an achievement book that gives you rewards - usually Source Stones - for completing certain tasks or reaching milestones in the game. Most of them will be unlocked as you play. See details in section " Achievements ».
Level up your Traveler a few times (we've leveled up to 15, but we'll try to keep some of your books) and continue towards the town of Mondstadt.

Scout carried by the wind
On the way to Mondstadt, you accidentally overheard a meeting between a huge dragon and a mysterious figure. As you continued to doubt, a cheerful young girl appeared in your path.
Steps
- Continue towards Mondstadt
- Use the amber to defeat the flying slugs
- Go to the place marked by Amber.
Walkthrough
After picking up the Crimson Crystal, continue towards Mondstadt, slowly making your way to the river surrounding the city and collecting flowers and other items along the way. As you get closer to the next waypoint marker, a cutscene will play introducing you to your first new party member.
Defeat the slimes
A tutorial will appear that tells you how to switch group members, which you should do now. Select Ember and you will be prompted to shoot down slimes with her bow. She is a ranged character that uses the pyro element to destroy wooden obstacles, shoot objects from a distance like other ranged enemies, and generally has a different play style than your Traveler. More information about Amber can be found here.
Point the bow at the slime and shoot it. If you hold the button longer, Ember will attack harder. Collect rewards from the chest that appears after you defeat them. Among them should be a new weapon for your traveler, which you must equip in the character information screen.
After shooting at the slimes, run to the new marker on the map to complete the quest and get your reward.

In step with the wind
The girl's name is Amber, and her duty as a rider is to escort you to Mondstadt. However, she has one more task to complete first, which is to clean out the Hilichurls that have been roaming outside the city.
Steps
- Defeat nearby Hilichurls
- Clear out the nearby Hilichurl camp
- Talk to Amber
- Continue towards Mondstadt
Walkthrough
Before rushing to the Hilichurl camp, activate the nearest waypoint to get 5 Source Stones as a reward, and then methodically kill the Hilichurls around the map marker. This is the perfect time to practice using Ember, especially her charged archery, and learn about the element Pyro generally. Enemies also have weak spots that you can use to deal extra damage, so try aiming at the Hilichurl's head and watch the amount of damage increase.
After you kill the enemies, Ember will explain that she has been tasked with clearing out the nearby Hilichurl camp, which can be found right on the hill nearby. Start by removing the crossbowman using Ember's ranged attack and then switch to your Traveler to finish off the rest, ideally mixing in some elemental bursts and attacks to deal more damage. The new tutorial will cover elemental reactions where two elements combine and react. The combination of Anemo and Pyro in this case results in a Whirlwind Elemental Reaction.
Once the Hilichurls have been defeated, speak to Amber and then collect the Refined Chest rewards. You will receive your first Artifact, powerful accessories used to enhance your characters' stats, which the game prompts you to wear on the character screen. After you equip the Artifact, continue towards Mondstadt to complete the quest, but be sure to watch out for Lynn the Cook at the side of the road who has the quest The Art of Cooking .

Freedom City
With your help the issue was resolved quickly. Led by Amber, you will find yourself in the city of freedom - Mondstadt.
Steps
- Go to the place marked by Amber.
- Meet Amber at Fountain Square.
Walkthrough
When you enter the city gates, a cut-scene will begin, showing Mondstadt in all its glory. Mondstadt is the main city in this area of Teyvat and will become a kind of adventure center. There are numerous shops ranging from blacksmith, where you can improve weapons, and ending adventurer's guild , which you will soon officially meet.
Explore as much as you like, but then head up to the high ground, past the massive windmill, and into the central square, home to a colossal statue depicting the Anemo Archon, Barbatos. The game will prompt you to go to this area by opening the quest menu and selecting the "go" option in the quest name. The golden trail will take you to your destination, so follow it now, but don't forget to equip the recurve bow you just got for Ember.
Meet Ember at Fountain Square
After discussing the Mondstadt, Ember will give hang glider and explain how the people of Mondstadt use them to get around easier. Now you will need to jump off the wall and slide to the objective marker in the lower part of the city next to the fountain.
Just double tap the jump button and your Wind Glider will automatically appear, allowing you to head and sail to your destination. Carefully head towards Ember, who is waiting for you at your destination to complete the quest.

dragon and storm
The usually calm Mondstadt was suddenly attacked by a dragon. This Horror Storm, which Amber was talking about, and that giant creature that you encountered earlier in the forest.
Steps
- Repel Storm Terror attack
- Go to the headquarters of the Knights of the Ordo Favonius.
Walkthrough
Immediately after completing the last mission, a new cut-scene will play, after which you will float in the air, chasing the Tempest Horror, which laid siege to Mondstadt. The voice asks you to "bridle the power of the wind" and repel the dragon's attack.
Just aim at the lizard and hold the attack button with a charge, which will cause the traveler to emit beams of light to damage him. He will dodge and float through the sky trying to avoid your attacks, but keep shooting until his health drops to around 15%, at which point he will fly away.
Upon returning to earth, you will meet another member of the Favonius Knights, Keiya, who cordially invites you to his headquarters. Wardrobe are unlocked after a cutscene and a quick guide to using it.
After examining the Fitting Room menu, go to the objective marker right in front of the Favonius Knights headquarters. Just before you get there, be sure to unlock a nearby waypoint shortcut that will allow you to quickly return there in the future. When you get to the door, the quest will end.

Ordo Favonius
You barely repulsed the Storm Terror's attack. Kaya of the Ordo Favonius witnessed the battle, and you have been invited to tour the knights' headquarters.
Steps
- Enter Ordo Favonius Headquarters.
- Talk to Genie (you will only see this objective if you disconnect during the cutscene)
Walkthrough
A short and simple quest, just open the door to the headquarters and a cutscene will start immediately. You will meet the Acting Grandmaster Ordo Favonius, Jean and Lisa, the librarian.
After discussing Storm Terror's attack, it was decided that you should find the source of its power, which Lisa discovered in the abandoned Temples of the Four Winds scattered around Mondstadt. You must enter three of them (detailed in three separate quests: Winds of the past , crash course и sparks among the pages ), which you can do in any order you choose.
After the cut-scene, you should get the 5th adventure rank, after which wishes will open и Shop . You can find these options in the main menu and the game will prompt you to explore them right now.
In the end, after leaving the headquarters, Paimon will explain to you that it would be a good idea to prepare yourself by visiting the Wagner blacksmith in Mondstadt in a separate quest. Good preparation is the key to success . In another guide, you will be asked to visit the character screen and learn how to upgrade your weapon in the Weapons menu. This will teach you how to add enhancement materials such as Enhancement Ore to increase weapon power.
