Walkthrough A Plague Tale Requiem - Chapter 13 "The Void"

"The Void" is chapter 13 in A Plague Tale Requiem. This step by step guide will guide you through all the tasks of the tenth part The Plague Tale Requiem.

Walkthrough The Void in A Plague Tale Requiem

Finding your way to the surface is part of chapter 13 (The Void) in A Plague Tale Requiem. Our walkthrough will show you how to get out of the basement using the anchor point and how to safely get through the rat's nest.

Find your way to the surface

At the beginning, Amicia is still injured, so you will move forward at a snail's pace. This will change once you reach the first obstacle - a cutscene will be activated and once it's over, you'll get your gadgets and moveset back.

Move forward. In the nearby basement, explore the side rooms, since one of them contains secret chest. You will also face with a workbench.

You will soon reach a large opening and Amicia will have to find a way to access it.

Look for bars in the area. Sit next to them and use the sling to hit the hook, which we noted in the screenshot above. This will allow you to reach the door from the other side and open it.

Explore a new area. On one side there is a wheeled cabinet - pull him to yourself. This will unlock the path in the previous area and you can use it to continue.

In the next place move the second cabinet found on the right. This will open a hole (screenshot above) - you can use it to get to a secret room containing memory.

Soon you will reach new Anchor Point - position yourself next to her and use the crossbow.

You need to aim and shoot at the wheeled object from the screenshot above - it is on a higher shelf. By pulling it, it will fall to the lower level. Return to your companions. The climbing attempt will fail, but the heroes will push the fallen object and open access to the rat's nest.

Cross the rat's nest

There is a torch nearby Take it and start exploring the nest.

Watch out for tanks filled with rats along the way - they can explode and spray toxic fumes. The first tank will explode no matter how hard you try, but further ones can be safely passed, provided you keep a safe distance.

There is only one way possible here. You will reach a room with a giant tank, but the escape scene will begin. As in previous escape scenes, make sure you hold the sprint button and don't waste too much time climbing or descending the lower ledges. You will find a way out of the nest.

Get to the port

After leaving the rat's nest, go straight ahead and in the distance you will notice the port of the ruined village is your new destination.

Soon you will reach areas with rats and new enemies. You can destroy rat tanks when enemies are near them. However, you can still use Exstinguis to put out your torches.

As you follow the path, watch out for enemies with ranged weapons and heavily armored enemy. Recall that you first need to destroy the weak spot on his armor with a sling. This will expose him to further attacks (Crossbow, Resin + Ignifer, etc.).

You can also use Hugo's power to control the rats. Remember, however, that they can only help you eliminate enemies without torches.

You have to get to the opposite end of the area with soldiers and rats. You will find a cart on wheels chained to the wall.. Use the sling to break the chain and the cart will roll down. This will allow you to climb to a higher ledge and leave this place by going through the door.

Now you must pass through the ruined village. Here you have more chances to sneak, as you can use the tall grass to distract the enemies. Be mindful of rats - do not enter dark areas before checking to see if they are in close proximity. You can take control of rats and destroy tanks with your sling.

There are 3 ways to the second part of the village, but only the left and right are safe. Dodge or take out the new heavily armored soldier. Don't take the middle (lower) path as there are rats and tanks there.

In the new zone, you will encounter, for example, talking guards. Make your way past them before they finish their conversation and start patrolling the area.

Explore the ruins of the church to find secret chest (image above).

Your destination is the destroyed building shown in the picture. You can pick up boards there and squeeze under them to leave the area with enemies.

Keep exploring the destroyed buildings. Along the way you will find crafting table.

You will reach the place where be able to push a cart on wheels. You can move it to two different places. First, choose a shelf on the sidelike in the image above.

Upstairs there are 2 secrets. These include:

  1. Hugo Herbarium: Greylag Goose;
  2. Locked workbench – it is in the area behind the black door on the right.

Jump down and this time move the cart towards the right shelf (see picture). You can continue the story.

You will come to the port, which is the place where Arno is kept.

Liberation of Arno

You don't have to rush to save Arno. You will have to deal with releasing him at the very end. First, you must defeat all enemies from the port. It will be a long and obligatory battle.

Start by hitting the bank, which will set fire to nearby enemies.

Once the real fights start:

  1. Headshot enemy archers and spear wielding opponents, from a sling. Use coverto avoid their ranged attacks.
  2. When it comes to opponents wearing headgearuse the crossbow and Ignifer mixtures to defeat them.

You will also encounter heavily armored enemies — they may have weak points on the front or back of the armor. You can stop them by destroying the jars or throwing Ignifer at them. This will make it easier for you to find the weak spot.

In a moment the second part of the battle will begin. Attack and destroy new enemies equipped with heavy armor one at a time, while maintaining a safe distance from them.

Collect loot from the area if necessary - you can find, among other things, bolts and crafting ingredients for making resin or Ignifer.

Approach Arno only after winning the battle.

New enemies will appear, but you won't have to fight them, because Hugo will summon rats. The heroes will leave the island in Sophia's boat - this is the end of chapter 13. Now chapter 14 beginsHealing».
