Walkthrough Healing in A Plague Tale Requiem

Chapter 14 (Healing) in A Plague Tale Requiem is all about wrestling at sea. Our guide explains how to play the Count's Ship Escape and how to protect Arno, Luka and Sophia during boarding.

Regrouping with Luka and Sofia

You start this chapter on the beach. You will learn that your ship has crashed on the shore. Head along the beach to reach your allies. There is no need to hurry, but there is nothing to find here either. Get to the rocks and squeeze past them.

Save Arno

During this confrontation you won't fight the Count directly “Arno is the one who fights him.

Your task is to deal with soldiers storming the beach. Take advantage of the size of the arena. Avoid enemy melee attacks and take cover from ranged attacks. You can also explore the area to find supplies and craft more gadgets.

Recall that unarmored enemies can be killed with a sling, although you still have to do it from behind cover.

Most enemies, however, will be wearing armor and headgear.. Against them, you should use a crossbow (especially if you have the bolt upgrade), a combination of resin + ignifier (especially useful for igniting tight groups), and firing cans from your sling as soon as the enemies get close to them.

Shield wielders and fully armored enemies are especially problematic. Defend against them by shooting the sacks or using iglyphators and resin to blind/contain them. This will allow you to expose them to further attacks (don't forget to aim for their weak spots in the front or back of their armor).

In the second stage of the battle, you will lose a lot of visibilityalthough that doesn't mean you're completely blind. You will continue to see enemy icons, which can tell you what kind of enemy you are facing (for example, an archer). However, look around often and try not to be taken by surprise.

Kill the Count

Defeating all enemies triggers a cutscene featuring Arno and the Count. This is where the battle ends.

Now you must kill the count — aim at him with your sling and shoot him in the head. That's all it takes.

Get to Hugo

The final part of the mission begins on board wagon bound for Marseille. At the start of your trip, you can try out your new Greek flamethrower. Use it for further progress.

Once you reach the city the walls will be destroyed bringing swarms of rats.

Use the flamethrower to defend against the horde. You have unlimited fuel so don't stop shooting. Aim at the rats closest to you and don't let them stop the wagon. You will eventually trigger another cutscene and proceed to Chapter 16 King Hugo.
