Walkthrough After Us in A Plague Tale Requiem

In this part of our passage Chapter 5 (After Us) "A Plague Tale Requiem" explains how to get to Joseph's boat after the main characters end up breaking up. Our walkthrough explains how to cross the construction site while avoiding the rats, how to clear a path for a boat and how to save Luke's life.

Free the boat

You have to free the boat after it got stuck. Get off the boat, stand next to it and start pushing. You will manage to free her, but he will immediately swim away. Amicia and Luca must follow her and somehow get back on board.

Find a way to get to the boat

Choose the only available path near the cliffs. At the fork in the road, take the path through the forest. You will eventually hear animal sounds. Don't move for a while to unlock memory - roar of a deer.

Both paths eventually converge in the same place - you need to move the obstacle and squeeze past some rocks.

Cross the construction site

In this new location, you must create a path forward while avoiding the rats. Use your sling to shoot the hanging hay with the ignificator. The light will chase away the rats, allowing you to safely reach the far platform.

Once you're there, order Luca to use the winch. This will move another hanging bale of hay.

Set it on fire with the Ignificator. Use a vessel ignifierto chase away more rats. You will get another platform.

Keep working with Luka, lowering and setting fire to more hay bales.

At a certain point, a scenario event will occur - you will be surrounded by a swarm of rats. Use Pyrite to save yourself from death. Take it from Luca and quickly press the displayed button (triangle/Y on the controller). Pyrite only works for a limited time - You must reach the safe platform before it ends.

From now on you can find pyrite as loot. Try to always have something in reserve in case you make a mistake and get swarmed.

Use another winch and as soon as you let it go, quickly set another hay bale on fire with the Ignifier. Now you can move on.

On a new platform take a stick and throw it to Luca (pictured above). He sets the stick on fire and uses it to get to the next platform.

Light some hay on fire, jump down and look for a new one secret chestwhere you will find the tool. After looting the chest, run for the next platform.

Prepare your slingshot and shoot hook next to Luka to let him continue. There are still rats below you, which you must drive off by setting the hanging hay on fire with the Ignificator. Luca will rejoin Amicia.

We follow further. Along the way, you will encounter a new workbench.

Take the stick from the basket, set it on fire and enter the rat swarm. You must safely reach the lit basket. You will find some boards you can tear offto unlock the narrow passage.

Clearing the way for the boat

You will again find yourself next to the boat along with other characters. You will also learnthat the big ferry is blocking the river.

Try to use a winchto bring the ferry closer. Unfortunately it will get stuck so you will need to investigate the issue.

Look around the borders of this area. Can go under the boards and ask Luca to catch the cart. This will open the way forward.

Make your way through the contaminated area until you reach the corpse stuck in the mechanism. Pull it out.

Wait for Luca to get on the ferry. Get on board and ask Luca to release the handle. You will reach the opposite side of the river.

Return to land and look up. Shoot a hook from a slingshotto knock down the counterweight and open the way forward for the boat. Amicia and Lucas will split up for now, so you'll need to traverse the following areas on your own.

Find a way to get to the boat - continued

Before you delve into this area, there are two secrets you can find:

1) You can go under the hut to get to secret chest.

2) Can find a hole in the fence next to the hut, squeeze through it, climb the stairs to the attic and find locked crafting table. You will have to sacrifice a knife to unlock it, but you will be rewarded with a tool and crafting ingredients.

Go behind the stone structure by the river. Start pushing the cart on wheels and roll it up to the ledge shown above. Climb onto the box and from it to the top.

In the next area you need to get to rotating mechanism - with its help the platform moves. Move it to the area where you came from.

Now you should return to the previous location. To do this, make an aimed shot (pictured above). This opens a new bridge. Walk along it and squeeze past the boards.

Start pushing the cart again. This time you should place it on the platform you just moved (pictured above).

Return to the spinning mechanism. Use it to transport the platform and cart to a new area. Now you can place the cart under the new ledge (pictured above). Climb onto it to trigger a cutscene.

Help Luca

Must use stationary crossbowinstalled on the boat.

Save Luca before the enemies kill him. Shoot them with your crossbow - no matter where you hit, the bolts will kill them even through their armor.

Now you must create a lighted path to the boat for Luca... First change bolt type - hold R1 / RB on the controller to access the menu and select Ignifier Bolts.

Shoot them at wooden surfaces to create light. We have imagined the full path above. Luka will successfully reach the boat and you will continue down the river.
