Walkthrough A Plague Tale Requiem - Chapter 7 "Outlaws"

"Outlaws" is chapter 7 in A Plague Tale Requiem. This step by step guide will guide you through all the tasks of the seventh part The Plague Tale Requiem.

Walkthrough Outlaws in A Plague Tale Requiem

During Chapter 7 (Criminals) Plague Tale: Requiem you will be traveling with Arno, a new companion whose abilities we will describe below. Our guide shows how to open the entrance to the caves, how to avoid rats insidehow to get to the shipwreck and how to find smugglers hideout.

Cross the beach

There is only one possible path here (if you choose the others, you will be turned back) - it leads to the lookout where Hugo is. Heroes will go towards the beach.

Along the way explore the hut on the left (screenshot above). You can enter it through the shutter and there is a secret inside (Hugo herbarium sample - Black-headed gull).

Once you reach the boat you will get the target to find the anchor point. We show this in the screenshot above - you need to press the interaction button (Triangle/Y on consoles) to continue. Hold the same buttonto pull the boat towards you.

Now the rats will come, and you need to get them away from the cave entrance. Start by slinging at the hanging fish on the left.

Now hold the command button (bottom on crosshairs), for Hugo to take control of the rats. Lead them to the fallen fish. Now you can enter the caves - sit down to continue.

From now on you need to use Hugo's power in moderation, because otherwise its stress bar will fill up. It's best to only use it when you need it to solve a puzzle.

Cross the caves

When you reach the first cave, you will encounter rats. To pass them, you need:

  1. Equip and fire the Ignifer torch away.
  2. Aim with Ignifer's crossbow and shoot on the board (screenshot above)
  3. Prepare the pot of Ignifer and throw it between the created light sources.

Get to the shipwreck

Once you pass the first cave, you will notice a shipwreck in the distance - this is your new destination. Equip a stick and set it on fire to create a mobile safe zone.

you reach a new Anchor Point - grab the rope and pull the wheeled cart towards you. Light the brazier in the cart and start pushing it.

Bring it to the end. Follow the narrow edge. Unfortunately, Arno will fall. You must quickly create a light source for Arno - Ignite Ignifer with a torch that is next to your ally. This way the rats won't devour Arno.

Open the way for Arno

A new item will be introduced - Episanguis crystals - which you can now find as loot. The first such item will be given to you by Arno (by holding down the command button and pressing the interaction button)

You can craft Odoris, a rat distraction gadget. - which causes rats to flock to the place where the projectile has landed. Aim for the surface next to Arno (image above) and drop Odoris in there. The companion will take advantage of the opportunity and run to the left.

Find the crank (screenshot above) and ask Arno to use it.

Next step is a shot from Ignifer's crossbow at a board attached to a chain. If you run out of crossbow bolts, you can find a supply in the area. The bolt must be attached to the board.

Thanks to your efforts, the group is reunited. You need to cross a narrow tunnel filled with rats. To continue, you need to use the crossbow again - shoot Ignifer's bolt at Arno's shield. Arno will now use a fire shield to fend off rats while crossing. You will return to the surface.

Getting to the shipwreck - continued

Go down to the beach. There is a workbench on the left.

Before heading to the side shipwreck, make a detour and climb up to the ledge on the left (screenshot above). This path leads to another wreck, and looking at it, opens memory - survivor.

Find the smugglers hideout

Once you reach the big wreck, new rats will start to appear. Again, the easiest way to get close is to use The smell, but always make sure all rats are gone and the path crosses safely.

In addition, you can create multiple projectiles Ignifer or use a stick (remember they run out quickly). You will encounter a torch a little further ahead.

There are also new guards hanging around the rubble.. You can dodge or eliminate opponents. In addition to already known tricks (for example, putting out torches so that enemies are eaten by rats or throwing pitch at them) you can also use Arno's help - he can attack enemies and win them in close combat. Make sure Arno faces one enemy at a time or he might be defeated.

You can use this opportunity to carefully examine the wreckage for additional loot, but you need to watch out for the rats. Beside with a winding path on the right is secret chestAnother secret chest located on the lower level of the cave - to get it, you need to light the path to it. There is also a smaller wreck nearby, and inside it has locked workbench (you need to spend your knife to unlock it).

Leaving your current location can be seen in the screenshot above), which is the upper level of the caves. To continue, you need to move the obstacle and squeeze between the rocks. Follow the partially flooded hallway to get to the meeting point with Sophia.

Get to Sofia's boat

Your destination is the fishing village visible in the distance where Sophia's ship is located.

Along the way you can once again and it is worth using the help of Arno. You can order him to attack the enemy (command menu - L1 / LB), but make sure he doesn't attack more than one enemy at the same time, otherwise he may lose the fight.

You can also fight opponents on your own - by now your moveset has several ways to defeat them, such as a crossbow or mixing resin with Ignifer. For unarmored opponents, you can use a slingshot.

If you prefer to remain unnoticed, hide in tall grass and distract opponents.

There are two paths to choose from - left and right:

1) The left path leads through the caves (the entrance to them is shown in the screenshot above) - getting here is difficult, but you should be able to easily get rid of opponents. The placement of some of them favors surprise attacks.

2) The right path leads across the beach - There are more hiding places here, but watch out for rats in the area. Along the way, you will need to use the anchor point to move the boat (screenshot above).

Both paths lead to a new narrow passage - it can be used to continue the hike.

Before you go any further, rise on the shelf on the left (screenshot above) Once you're up, squeeze through the small opening and explore the dark cave to find a secret, a souvenir (First people).

Once you return to the main trail, follow it to reach the fishing village. There are enemies in the vicinity - sneak past them, make surprise attacks or send Arno. Alternatively, you can use Hugo's powers and take control of the rats.

It is safer to walk on the upper footbridgesthat surround neighboring huts. There are a lot of rats at the beach level and you can easily get eaten. Further into the village you will encounter a heavily armored soldier. Either aim for the weak spot on the back or send Arno to get rid of it.

Before leaving the village, there is an opportunity to collect the contents secret chest. To access it, you need to search for Anchor Point (screenshot). The wooden structure will collapse, but there are rats between you and the chest - use Ignifer's or Ordoris' pots.

There is only one possible way ahead - the door of the upper hut near where you encountered the armored soldier.

Inside the hut you will have to take part in the QTE scenewhere you need to double click the correct button. Besides, in the hut has a workbench.

Free Sophia's boat

The final part of this chapter is a puzzle of sorts - you need to complete certain actions in order for Sofia's boat to sail away and sail to the island.

Start by using the crank on the main deck. An attempt to raise the anchor will end in failure, because the hanging chain is in the way.

Come to the edge of the boat. A swarm of rats below. Use Odoris to distract the rats. Quickly jump down and run towards the ladder that will allow you to reach the wooden balconies adjacent to the moored boat.

Turn right and ask Arno to use a new handle. Stay there and wait untilthe hook will become visible - use the slingshot on itto break the chain.

Now you can return to the ship. While you're on it, explore the nearest shack. You must:

  1. Use the slingshot on the hatch to open it;
  2. Use the slingshot on the hanging fishwhich will attract rats.

Now you can safely jump down, get to the ship Sofia and use the crank again to raise the anchor. This time you will succeed.

The next task is raise the sail. To do this, reach for the strings connected to the sail. The operation will be partially successful - the sail was not fully deployed.

Go to the pier on the right, which means returning towards the fishing village. Position yourself on the spot on the screenshot and point the slingshot into the sail. Finally, the sail was unfurled.
