Atsushi Nakajima has always been an unusual child, but has always denied his supernatural powers. Since childhood, he grew up in an orphanage, where he was subjected to ill-treatment by the director and other pupils. One day, he is finally expelled from the orphanage, after which the lonely boy accidentally encounters the unfortunate detective Osamu Dazai, who is drowning in the river.

Atsushi saves a man from certain death and soon learns that his new acquaintance is a member of the Armed Detective Agency, a secret organization of private investigators with supernatural powers. The boy discovers the ability to turn into a white tiger at night, allowing him to join the Agency and become Dazai's ward, able to suppress any other people's magical powers when touched.

Over the years, Atsushi and Dazai went through many dangerous adventures, becoming best friends and helping each other through personal problems. The boy gradually began to let go of his painful past and memories of the orphanage, and Osamu stopped thinking about suicide all the time. In the upcoming sequel, new adventures await them in Yokohama. Studio Bones has already renewed the anime adaptation of The Great Stray Dogs manga for season 5, with a release date set for July 2023.

In future episodes Armed Detective Agency will face dangerous new enemieswho will not only try to subdue the city mafia, but also begin to hunt for the detectives themselves. Atsushi will have to fight to the death to protect his loved ones and put his life on the line in a desperate confrontation with brilliant villains. Winemaking

The anime's first season aired in 2016 and was based on the original manga and light novel. Some scenes of cruelty and violence had to be cut from the TV series, so as not to worsen the rating among viewers.
