A new leak Genshin impact reveals the release date for the upcoming live event for Update 3.1, which should arrive in late September.

Genshin impact has a very tight schedule of updates, each lasting about six weeks. After months of preparation, the current version 3.0 has finally introduced a major new region called Sumeru along with its new characters.

In his latest live stream, developer HoYoverse already confirmed that the version Genshin impact 3.1 will be released on September 28, which is a week earlier than usual. In fact, the first three Sumeru updates (3.0, 3.1 and 3.2) will be one week shorter to compensate for the delay that occurred during the 2.6 update. Numerous fans in the comments section claim that they are not even halfway through the current world quests, which seem huge compared to previous major regions.

Reducing 3.0 by one week will allow 3.1 to arrive on time for its second anniversary Genshin impact, which should include some unique events.
