Extension for Resident Evil Village? Mysterious Files Found On Steam
Resident Evil Village may receive expansions in the future. Capcom has uploaded unspecified DLC for the game to the Steam servers.
Capcom's latest development isn't a very long game, but from what I've written in my review , the game, in my opinion, gives pleasure for the optimal number of hours. However, there are players who find it not enough to run around a dark village and would like to expand the scope of the plot development. It is possible that they will get such a chance.
If we go to the game's SteamDB page, we'll see something interesting. There are two unknowns in the DLC tab of the game. And one of them is signed right How Village_DLC02. Mysterious content has been on Valve's servers for four months. In addition, we also find a second unsigned package that has been in the database for seven months.
The first content pack could actually be an expansion or a small story DLC like in RE7. Resident Evil Village is selling well, and no one would be particularly surprised if Capcom wanted to build on the popular story in a paid expansion.
The second file can actually be anything, be it DLC, a hidden bonus, a test build, or even Resident Evil Re: Verse. The last option, however, is the least likely because Re:Verse has its own Steam page.
However, it is possible that there is nothing interesting in any of the above "DLCs". Creators sometimes upload extra files to themselves and don't have to prove anything. How it will actually be, we will see after a while. Of course, while there is something interesting hidden behind the secret files.
