GTA 6 Trailer Teaser Revealed in The Weeknd Clip
Fans anxiously awaiting news of Grand Theft Auto 6 saw a glimmer of hope in The Weeknd's music video, but their dreams were soon shattered.
Although the animation video for The Weeknd's Binding Lights has been out since August 15th, fans have noticed a possible clue to GTA 6 in it.
At the 56th second of the track, the words "GTA 6 Trailer" are displayed. There is also at least one word before "GTA" that ends in "N", but the camera cuts it off before it's displayed.
This interesting find was noted by the Grand Theft Auto GTAVInewz Twitter account.
"During The Weekends music video, if you look in the top left corner, you'll see 'GTA 6 TRAILER'," they noted. "[I don't] know if it means anything, but it's really interesting."
Unfortunately, the hype didn't last long. As Rockstar insider Yann2295 pointed out, "This, like all other messages in the video, are comments from viewers who watched the 'show' live on TikTok."
So while the latest GTA 6 theory has been debunked, it just shows how much fans are hungry for anything even remotely related to the next installment.
It got to the point where recently Sean Fonteno, the voice of Franklin in GTA V, commented on why Rockstar hadn't released the game for so long.
“You have to understand that this is the process of releasing these games,” he said on Instagram. "I keep telling you, if you all look at our interviews, it took us four / four and a half years to shoot and complete GTA 5. So you should understand and know."
At this point, one can only guess when Rockstar will officially announce the project, but when they do, you can expect the entire Internet to collectively breathe a sigh of relief.
