CoD Mobile Developers Promise "Surprises" in Season 11 Update
The developers behind Call of Duty Mobile have explained why they're aiming to keep Season 11's content "secret" as the game approaches its one-year anniversary, leading to several "surprises" in store.
With Call of Duty Mobile's first birthday approaching, fans of the popular game have already started gearing up for Season 11, and many are expecting some pretty big changes.
The developers have already confirmed that at some point at they have plans for night maps for both multiplayer and battle royale, however these are not confirmed for the upcoming season.
In fact, instead of leaving out most of the details ahead of the new season, the developers are actually keen to keep the situation under wraps as they've started teasing a few "surprises".
During community updates 18 September, the developers noted that they have a lot more content in Season 10, but some fans have been asking them about what's coming next as the game approaches its first anniversary.
“Hey, there is no test server this time. In the next Anniversary release, we have too many cool features and content that we want to keep secret,” read the answer to one of the questions.
In another post, the developers confirmed their choice not to launch the test server ahead of the upcoming season. “We want to keep most of the Season 11 content under wraps this time around,” they said, noting that, as usual, there will be a few teasers. “However, we hope that this release will bring many wonderful surprises.”
Of course, given that the developers have noted that there will be teasers, it may not be too difficult to understand the theme, new maps and new weapons when the time comes.
Also, there are always leaks and blunders that eventually lead to early disclosures, but for now we just have to keep an eye on what's going on.
