Reclaim - Call of Duty Mobile Map Breakdown for Season 1

Reclaim, a brand new Call of Duty Mobile multiplayer map set in the ruins of an abandoned mall. Get strategies and tips to top the leaderboard and achieve those victories.

Welcome to Call of Duty: Mobile Season 1 2021. While the holidays are behind us, there's still plenty to look forward to, including Reclaim, a brand new multiplayer map available to play.

An open-air mall once bustling with festive events is now empty and abandoned, surrounded by a blockade and biohazard tents. Read on for a detailed overview, as well as strategies and tips for dominating the new map.

Map Overview

Reclaim is a small to medium sized map with a walking path surrounded by boutiques in the center and barricaded roads on both sides. The central walkway runs perpendicular to the basement and leads to additional storefronts.

With multiple access points between the lower and upper floors, expect a lot of vertical movement during a match as players compete for viewpoints above. However, taking a position on the top floor comes with a lot of risk. Its narrow passages and multiple entry points encourage constant activity, not to mention the constant threat of ambush.

Large blocks of cover in front of the blockade on both sides obstruct the view from the upper floors, and also provide excellent coverage in the middle of the map. The accessible boutiques on the ground floor offer additional opportunities for hiding and catching enemies off guard.

Two kiosks running down the center of the ground floor provide some cover in the middle, and both can be accessed as a defense against players moving through the boutiques or the footpath.

Tips and tactics

Here the key to success is an aggressive game. In the absence of large outdoor areas, Reclaim does not recommend staying in one place for an extended period of time. Any point on the map can be quickly accessed from different directions, so once you've made your presence known, it's likely time to move on to the next location.

Notice where the two escalators and two stairs leading to the top floor are, one on each side of the map. This is your key to understanding Reclaim's vertical flow, which reduces the chance of you being caught off guard by an unexpected enemy move.

As a general rule, it's a good idea to minimize your time on the ground floor passage, where you can attack from multiple directions. The upper tier and boutiques offer much better defense if you're unsure of the enemy's position. If the central labyrinth gets too hectic, retreat to take cover near the barricades, where there is more room to breathe.

Mall Rat: Striker Gunsmith configuration

Given the small boutiques and tight aisles of Reclaim, shotguns are a great choice, and the Striker is one of the best. Here's how we set it up in Gunsmith and the gear used.

Main weapon: Striker

Attachment: Choke, light barrel (long), RTC Laser 1mW, impact handguard, 18-round reload case

Additional weapon: knife

Perks: Skulker, Quick Fix, Dead Silence.

Equipment: Smoke grenade, Molotov cocktail

This Gunsmith configuration is designed to fire accurate shots from the hip, so you're always ready to go into battle at a moment's notice. Choke and Light Barrel (Long) attachments increase the range of the Striker and reduce bullet spread for longer, more accurate shots. Use the 1mW RTC laser for more accurate hip shooting and the Strike handguard to reduce vertical shock when shooting. To make sure you don't run out of ammo in the middle of a fight, grab the 18-round extended reload magazine and shoot.

Equip the Skulker for faster walking to avoid the temptation to run around, which will make you very vulnerable, and Quick Fix to quickly heal wounds after killing an enemy or holding a target. Since you're often in close proximity to enemy players, choose Dead Silence to keep your walking noise to a minimum, which is also useful when you're approaching from behind with a knife.

Use your smoke grenade when you need to cross an open road and a Molotov cocktail to cut off flanking routes or push enemies out of boutiques - just watch your throw on the top pass so the bottle doesn't accidentally explode on the ceiling.

Scorestreak Field Guide

In Reclaim's vertical maze, intelligence is king. You can't go wrong with UAVs and Counter-UAVs here, and for those who score points, Advanced UAV is second to none. For this reason, the SAM Turret is also a smart choice and is best placed behind cover next to barricades to ensure a clear shot into the sky.

Because of the easy access to inner cover, air-to-ground attacks require a bit more attention since you have to be sure the enemies are in the open. Save them for objective modes with points on the main aisle next to the blockade. The sentry gun can also do a great job here, taking out enemies foolish enough to escape their cover.

Consider the MQ-27 Dragonfire to kill players from above and below - as long as you can outsmart their incoming fire - and EMP systems to stop the enemy from triggering Scorestreaks when they start to play.

Purpose of the game

Hardpoint is all about chaos, forcing players into tighter spaces on an already stressful map. Consider pairing Fast Recover with Quick Fix to keep yourself in top shape between quick firefights and keep all possible routes to the current Hardpoint in mind. If you already have teammates, cover one of them from the outside instead of along with the rest.

In Domination, don't even think about trying to capture all three flags. All your focus should be on holding A or C and then putting everything you have on B. If B looks hopeless, surprise them and grab A and C. The point is to focus your efforts so as not to crumble and become ineffective. By sticking to two flags, you can group up better with your teammates and crush the enemy with more.

While holding the target with the team, check the mini-map to see which direction they are first focused on. The more field of vision you have, the less likely you are to be caught off guard. On a small, interconnected map like this one, you'll have a lot of work to do, so every advantage is vital.

10 tips

10. Is the enemy throwing mines on the upper passage? Make a class with Hard Wired on hand to run past without triggering them.

9. The purifier and shadowblade operator skills are very effective, as you will often face tight groups of enemies. They excel in close combat and can turn the tide of a match in one fell swoop at the right time.

8. Use your feet on the outside ladder near the tree. Shoot at the enemies from the first floor, then climb up and get out of the top. Rinse and repeat.

7. The tracker is a great choice here, as it will often give way to an enemy who has just stumbled across one of the boutiques or turned a corner on the upper walkway. Find their tracks and understand them.

6. Need a quick exit from the top floor? Drop into the hole next to Noemiduplas for a quick getaway; just be ready to fight the enemies that can climb the stairs.

5. Getting high kills and high deaths? Consider Perseverance to keep your progress in Scorestreak through death. Keep pushing, their value will double.

4. The four hotspots between the top and bottom floors are evenly spaced around the center of the map, making it easy to bypass the center and move smoothly between levels.

3. The covered walkway is a popular place to shoot at the enemies below. Always check for activity here before entering one of the many lines of sight.

2. Is there an enemy on your tail? There are plenty of 90 degree turns and small pieces of cover scattered around, perfect for quickly getting out of sight and ambushing a passing player.

1. Good luck! Any new map takes some getting used to, especially one as chaotic as Reclaim. Regardless of the outcome of your match, line up after another and keep playing.
