The Fans Baldur's Gate looking forward to the latest game in the franchise. In fact, the game will go into Early Access at the end of this month. Today we received information about how much the game will cost, and this is probably not what the fans wanted to hear. TOBaldur's Gate 3 early access opium will cost you the full $60.

Larian Studios Publishing Director Michael Dawes went to Twitter to explain. Dawes says the Early Access version will include one 25-hour playthrough, but the full version is "much" longer. He also goes on to say that fans shouldn't feel pressured to buy the early access version. Baldur's Gate 3 . He seems to understand that $60 is a lot of money for an Early Access game.

For context, another studio game, Divinity: Original Sin 2 , launched on PC for $45. This makes it the most expensive Larian game by a fairly significant margin. The Early Access version is apparently only the first part of the game's campaign. Essentially, it boils down to that early access version Baldur's Gate 3 is a $60 game pre-order, even if early access allows the development team to make changes and fixes before the "full" version.

An unforgotten kingdom

It remains to be seen if fans will be willing to shell out $60 for an Early Access game. This can cause game experience issues that are notoriously difficult to overcome even if the game ends perfectly. Fans of this franchise so long waiting for new content that they might want to try out the early access version Baldur's Gate 3 at such a high price. We'll see what happens one way or another when the game goes into Early Access at the end of the month, September 30th. You can subscribe to early access on Steam.
