The Teamfight Tactics World Championship returns for the Fates in the 4th set, with Riot revealing the full details of the $250 tournament on February 000th. 5 players from all over the world. The merger is expected to take place April 24-7.
The world's best Teamfight Tactics players are gearing up for Set 4's biggest event, the TFT Fates World Championship. While qualifiers are taking place around the world, all the details of the international event have finally been revealed.
There is $250 at stake, including $000 for the winner, as the top 41 players from 000 regions compete for the World Championship.
This is the biggest event in the history of the game, surpassing the championship Galaxies Championship with $200 and the $000 Rise of the Elements Invitational.
TFT Fates Championship Format Explained
The TFT Fates Championship will take place over three days. 24 players will qualify in regional tournaments before playing in an online tournament from April 7-9. Each day, eight players will be eliminated from the tournament until only one becomes the world champion.
“Teamfight Tactics continues to be one of our fastest growing games due to its accessibility and depth,” said Whalen Roselle, Senior Director of Esports at Riot Games.
“In order to meet the huge demand for organized competition, for the Fates Championship we have increased both the prize pool and the number of players that can qualify for this event. We will also explore new ways to further celebrate esports around the world.”
TFT Fates Championship players
Nobody has qualified for the TFT Fates Championship yet, but that doesn't mean there are already leaders in this competition. The European 'Double61' will be looking to defend his title after the Galaxies Championship, although there will be others on his tail.
The Chinese "juanzi" was best adapted to TFT Fates in at the end of the Galaxies Championship. People like Set 4 Rank 1 NA "k3soju" and Korean streamer "Bebe872" are likely to feature as well.
