Riot Secretly Increases Valorant Spike Rush XP In Update 1.08

The experience gain in Valorant, especially in Deathmatch and Spike Rush, has been widely criticized. Riot heeded those calls in patch 1.08 by secretly buffing Spike Rush XP. However, this may not stay forever.
Every drop of experience counts in Valorant, especially as we get to the poignant end of the second act of Ignition. If you're after these end-of-act rewards, or just want to unlock a new agent, look for the best way to upgrade your battle passa.
Generally, the best way to do this is to simply play competitively or unranked. Full game modes give the best amount of experience, especially considering winning rounds.
On the other hand, Spike Rush and Deathmatch can be a bit tedious with their fixed stakes. This it doesn't matter how well you play, you get XP just by being in a queue. However, Riot has released a secret change that could make the former more attractive.
Spike Rush usually gives 1000 XP. Given its compressed format compared to the full game, it makes sense to have a lower XP reward. However, Riot has decided to elevate its experience - at least for now.
Spike Rush will now grant 1250 XP during Update 1.08 until further notice. However, Riot is not going to implement changes on a permanent basis. This is just a temporary patch for the mission crash after the update.
"We've changed experience from 1000 to 1250 due to a bug that doesn't account for progress towards ultimate goals and abilities in the second half of Spike Rush matches" , developer tehleach told players on September 17 .
He clarified that other mission sets work great in Spike Rush and that once the bug is fixed, they will bring it back. "We'll bring it back to 1000 when we fix this bug, which may or may not be until the next patch."
However, since players have already gotten a taste of the buff, Riot may be under some pressure to keep Spike Rush's experience level at 1250. After all, all the extra experience adds up as you try to get through the last few levels of the battle pass.
It's only an extra 250 XP per game, but that's the full cost of XP for every four games you add. These little bonuses add up, so if you're looking to grind Spike Rush for your run, now is the perfect time to do so.
