Roblox is already working – the developers have named the cause of the failure
The biggest competitor of Minecraft is back in the ranks. Roblox, after a three-day outage, still managed to resume connections for players. The game servers stopped working on October 29, and it was only on the night of November 1 that it was possible to completely fix the problems and go online.
For three days, the developers did not explain the cause of the failure, justifying themselves by the fact that all forces were thrown into an urgent fix for the problem. After the resumption of the servers, get in touch out Roblox founder David Bashuki, who explained the problem.
According to the developer, a number of factors led to the shutdown of the servers. The main problem lies in the huge number of active players, which led to the failure of a key communication system with the game's internal servers. It took much more time to find the source of the problem and debug it than originally planned, but along the way, the developers carried out additional optimization and configuration of the servers.
