Roblox Skyblock: How to Get Iron

Skyblock by Roblox is a game that is gaining popularity and was released in beta quite recently! It has been a popular Minecraft game and is a fun new way for Roblox players to try their hand at this mode.

We will take a quick look at how you can mine iron ore and make iron in the game so you can upgrade your tools and materials!

HOW TO GET IRON

In order to get iron in Skyblock, you will first need to build some kind of bridge to connect your island to the portal. When you start the game, you should see a purple looking portal located on a small island that you can't get to right now. Collect some stone blocks on your island and use them to get to the portal! Go ahead and enter this portal to be in a common area with shops! If you look a little ahead of the grain and seed vendors, you will see a "Mine" sign on it. Follow the path until you see an area that has a bunch of boulders and a pickaxe that looks like this:

Here you will find three types of boulders: stone, coal and iron ore. The stone is just grey, the coal has black spots, and the iron ore has silver spots. Iron ore is the rarest caviar, but it spawns fairly regularly. Here's how it looks:

Take out the pickaxe, click/tap and hold iron ore. After a few hits, you should mine it and get some iron! Keep in mind that this area is available to other players on your server, so you can sometimes fight for iron. A good strategy I've found is to stay close to only three rocks and keep mining whatever comes up. They respawn really fast, so you'll probably pick up any iron before anyone else can get it! I also recommend switching to a stone pickaxe before heading out, because you need to have enough wood and stone to craft it. This will speed up your mining time and hopefully beat the competition.

Once you have iron ore, you will need to create yourself a campfire. You can place a piece of wood in it to light it, and then put a piece of iron ore in it. This will create a piece of iron for you! Do this until the fire ends. With 10 units of iron, you can create a furnace that will smelt ore into iron much faster! You can also use coal instead of wood for fuel.
