Use your gold to improve your characters, because it will help you a lot in completing Rogue Legacy 2.
Rogue Legacy 2 is rogue-lite which means you will carry over some progress after every failed launch. You can take any gold you pick up and spend it on upgrading your family castle, which will then give you certain perks. These upgrades can improve your stats, add new character classes, or unlock different vendors in the city.
Here's a look at all of the castle's upgrades Rogue Legacy 2 . ( Rogue Legacy 2 is currently in early access and developer Cellar Door Games will add more updates and items over time.)
CASTLE UPGRADES
(LISTED BOTTOM UP, LEFT TO RIGHT)
- Universal Basic Ingress - Increases gold gain for certain traits (3 upgrades)
- Fashion Chambers - Increase max weight (5 upgrades)
- Universal Health Stair (Universal health ladder) - traits now give gold modifiers
- Etching Chambers - Increase max rune capacity (5 upgrades)
- Foundation - Open blacksmith
- Archery Range (Archery) - Unlocks the Ranger class.
- Enchantress' Quarters - unlocks the enchantress
- Arsenal - increases strength by increasing weapon damage (10 upgrades)
- Butchers Shoppe (Butcher shop) - unlocks barbarians
- mess hall - Increases vitality by increasing maximum HP (10 upgrades)
- Academy - Unlocks the Mage class.
- training hall - increases health gain from meat (10 upgrades)
- Offshore Bank Account (Offshore bank account) - opens offshore investments, which allows you to save unused gold.
- Foundry (Foundry) - gains additional armor that absorbs a percentage of incoming damage before eventually breaking down (10 upgrades)
