Here is a complete list of all armor and rune upgrades currently available in Rogue Legacy 2 . ( Rogue Legacy 2 is currently in Early Access and more upgrades and items will be added to Cellar Door Games over time.)
SMITH ARMOR UPGRADES
Before you can start upgrading your equipment, you need to unlock the Blacksmith in the castle upgrade tree. He got on the upgrade path quite early, so you should be able to unlock him after a few runs.
To unlock armor pieces you need to first collect drawing , which you can find while jogging by looting silver chests . Once you get the blueprint, you can buy the armor (the blacksmith also makes ribbons and weapons) from the blacksmith. After that, you just have to switch which part you want to turn on or off.
Different items take different burdens on your character, so you can't wear the best stuff all the time. You need to sacrifice and choose. You can increase your weight limit through the castle upgrade tree.

RUNES UPGRADES FROM THE enchantress
The Enchantress works like a Blacksmith. To start equipping runes, you need to unlock the Enchantress on the castle upgrade tree. She's close to the start and pretty cheap, so you can unlock her in a few runs.
You will start with one rune, but you will need to find the rest. You find runes by opening Fairy Chests , which spawn in bizarre challenge rooms that ask you to complete a variety of tasks, such as completing a room without jumping, attacking, or getting hit. Like the blacksmith, runes have a weight limit. You can increase the number of runes you can use at the same time with the castle upgrade tree.
Runes can also be upgraded to be more effective, but this increases them rune weight . For example, you can double your bounty rune and get a +.2 bonus to gold growth, but you need 100 rune weight to do so.
- Bounty Rune - +0,1 gold gain bonus, +50 rune weight
- Rune of Capacity - +0,1 mana, +20 rune weight
- Vault Rune - adds double jump, +40 rune weight
- Magnesis Rune - Pull coins from a greater distance, +10 rune weight
