RTX 3000 Becoming More Affordable; Nvidia Step Brings Hope to Gamers

For almost a year and a half, gamers and market analysts have been watching the prices of graphics systems and other computer components, which are still skyrocketing. They are the result of the limited availability of components such as VRAM microchips, insufficient computing power of factories, and the growing demand caused by the pandemic, which is also significantly affected by cryptocurrency miners. Nvidia will change its manufacturing strategy, according to rumors coming from China Board Channel's private forum dedicated to electronics manufacturers. This should lead to more in-demand graphics cards from the latest GeForce RTX 3000 series in stores.

Nvidia is rumored to be halving the current production of the popular GeForce RTX 2060 and GTX 1050 Ti graphics cards, which were relaunched earlier this year, to at least partially meet the demand for new GPUs among mainstream consumers. In addition, rumors that the planned restrictions will affect the equally successful GTX 1650 systems did not exist.

For those who are deeply versed in the GPU, this information may seem rather suspicious. Theoretically, the number of RTX 2000s prepared should not directly affect the production of RTX 3000 series cards. Systems for the older GPU line are being prepared by the Taiwanese company TSMC, and for the newer ones, the Korean Samsung. Thus, there are many indications that Nvidia may have a stock of chips that will allow for increased GPU availability, but the bottleneck in the manufacturing process may be the lack of other components used by cards from both series.

Nvidia has so far declined to comment on this issue. Recall that company representatives recently admitted that the shortage of video cards will last at least until the end of this year. If the rumors are true, this will undoubtedly be very good news for buyers. However, a sharp drop in prices because of this should not be expected. Currently, RTX 3000 series GPUs are selling even 200-300 percent more than the manufacturer's suggested retail price, and this situation will not improve for a long time.
