We have done a lot of work and gathered information about what we can expect from the gaming industry in 2020. Things should be pretty exciting with the arrival of the next generation of consoles, great new video games and maybe VR 2.0!
April 16, 2020 is a significant day that millions of gamers around the world are waiting for. If there are no delays, CD Projekt RED will release their newest creation into the world, which they have been developing since 2012 - Cyberpunk 2077. And this, in addition to the fact that we will eventually get our hands on the long-awaited game, also means that the team will be able to transfer its main production facilities for another large AAA project that is likely already somewhere in the early stages of production.
This mysterious project premiering in 2020 is certainly not realistic, but we can expect to learn a lot more about it over the next year. And it will almost certainly be The Witcher 4. CDPR has already made it clear several times that they intend to return to this world, and now would be the best time to do it again in a big-budget game - and not in another vague side project.
So there's a good chance that 2020 will not only be the launch year for Cyberpunk 2077, but also the first information about the next Witcher. Probably without Geralt - according to the studio, his story has already been completed, and he will not be the main character (he may appear differently). But maybe it will be Ciri. Or a completely new character created by the developers.
