Episode 22 Summary

Isagi analyzes Rin's goal because he believes that Rin could only have scored over Isagi because he was in the wall during the free kick. This made Isagi realize how important it was to look at himself through Rin's eyes and learn how he used Isagi's weapons against him.

To get past Tokimitsu, Isagi used Barou, disappointing him. Isagi passed the ball across the field to Kigiri, who used his speed. Meanwhile, Isagi broke away from the other players and ran to the near post for an open goal. Isagi was about to send the ball into the net when Rin noticed his movements and ran over to block his shot.

Isagi then moved into a different position and scored a goal with a direct heel kick. Isagi ate Rin after he was able to outsmart him. This goal startled Batira because he couldn't believe how fast Isagi had grown. He finally found two monsters in Blue Lock but wasn't good enough to play with them anymore.

When the final game began, the ball accidentally reached Batira, who could not decide in time and therefore lost the ball to Chigiri. Nagi warned Batira that if he tried to quit the game, he shouldn't expect to be picked by Isagi because Isagi would pick Rin on his team. It broke Batira's heart as he thought about how he ended up in such a pitiful situation.

In the end, when Rin blocked Isagi's shot and Batira got the ball, he went on a rampage. However, he refused any help from the monster because he wanted to play as freely as before. Batira headed towards the gate alone and fired, but Isagi blocked him, knowing Batira's mindset.

About Blue Lock

Blue Lock is a Japanese manga series written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura. It has been published in the weekly Kodansha Shōnen Magazine since August 2018. Blue Lock won the 45th Kodansha Manga Award in the shounen category in 2021.

The story begins with Japan's elimination from the 2018 FIFA World Cup, prompting the Japan Football Union to start a program to scout high school players to begin training in preparation for the 2022 Cup.

Isagi Yuichi, a striker, receives an invitation to this program shortly after his team loses the chance to qualify for the National Team because he switched to his less experienced teammate.

Their coach will be Ego Jinpachi, who intends to "destroy Japan's underdog football" by introducing a radical new training regimen: sequestering 300 young strikers in a prison facility called the Blue Castle.
