A whistleblower with a 100% accurate track record recently stated that Genshin Impact 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2 will be one week shorter than previous updates. This would be an unprecedented move considering past updates have never been shorter than usual.
On the other hand, there were some longer updates, especially with version 2.6 lasting 62 days compared to the standard 42. The update after that also lasted one additional day, meaning the schedule was moved forward 21 days. Cutting off potentially three weeks would get the chart back on track (assuming this leak is genuine).
Genshin Impact 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2 will apparently be one week shorter than previous updates.
The above tweet comes from a reliable source claiming that the next three version updates will be one week shorter than average. This has been something that Genshin Impact players have been discussing for some time, though it's worth reiterating that the above information is yet to be confirmed by HoYoverse.
From what he said Uncle Chasms, 12 out of 12 leaks were correct. And while there are a few unverified rumors at the moment, there's a good chance they could be accurate as well. This category includes the main leak that this article covers.

Old leaks
There was an old Genshin Impact 3.0 leak saying that the Battle Pass would end a week earlier than expected. Passes usually end a few days before the next version update is released, but their ending a whole week ahead of time is unexpected.
Naturally, this led to speculation that version 3.0 would be shorter than expected. However, these leaks only focused on a single version update that lasted a week less than usual, rather than three consecutive updates like in new leak states.
Each update can be expected to last 35 days instead of the usual 42 days if the new leak is correct. It doesn't say anything about Genshin Impact 3.3 and later, such as whether these updates will last for the normal 42 days or not.
Updates to shorter versions
Genshin Impact 3.0 is expected to launch on August 24, 2022. This means that the next start dates for upcoming version updates should be as follows, assuming the above leak is correct:
- Version 3.0: August 24 2022
- Version 3.1: September 28, 2022
- Version 3.2: November 2, 2022
- Version 3.3: 7th of December 2022
Items were listed in the belief that versions 3.0, 3.1, and 3.2 would only last 35 days rather than the usual 42 days; in new leaks they are said to be a week shorter than usual. It's also worth noting that the original source told fans that things could change. If this happened, it would be the first incorrect information from Uncle Chasms.
