Assassin's Creed Rumors Reveal Next Title Details

Not much time has passed since the release of Valhalla, and people are already waiting for the next game.

In the short amount of time since the last entry was released, we've seen a lot of rumors about Assassin's Creed. From the in-game location to the time era and the monetization system, people have speculated about all sorts of details.

Luckily, there's more food for information now as we see new - and possibly more reliable - Assassin's Creed rumors. Leaks and rumors connected with a new Assassin's Creed title. And yes, rumors from 2 different sources of information.

New rumors about the next game Assassin's Creed

The first source is Reddit and YouTuber j0nathan. j0nathan's track record is impressive and Reddit is coming to decipher his mystical revelations.

Reliable Assassins Creed Leaker j0nathan confirms the next AC made by Ubisoft Sofia

He is a gaming youtuber, an AC fan and seems to have a special bond with Ubi. He leaked a lot of correct information in the past, long before Ubisoft made it official. He has a good track record.

In the video, he gives some clues (symbols, locations, and more) about the next game and talks about some of the leaks that have been happening in recent weeks.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bP-l69jB7k

hints he gives in the video:

  • ⋅ Templar Cross.
  • ⋅ Map of Corfu island (Greece)
  • ⋅ GPS coordinates = Dubrovnik, Croatia and Schleswig-Holstein in Germany.
  • ⋅ Color codes = blue, white and red (France?)
  • ⋅ Ring
  • ⋅ GPS coordinates again = Sofia, Bulgaria (he liked the comment that said the next AC game was made by Ubisoft Sofia)
  • ⋅ QR Code Spotify = artist page (named Edmund).
  • ⋅ Arabic word (رشيدة) = Rashida ≈ Rashida
  • ⋅ Binary = 2022
  • ⋅ Image of Al-Aqsa Mosque (Jerusalem?)
  • ⋅ Image of the mountain (Al-Mualim as the Old Man of the Mountain ?)

This makes me think we are indeed getting a game about the 100 year war in Germany and France in late 2021/early 2022 from Ubisoft Sofia (cross-gen) and a new full (next-gen) AC game about the crusades in late 2022 . / 2023 (remake or new recording)

Quote from video comment

I managed to decipher your code:

“Actually, the #s are the colors that make the colors blue, white, and red.

- You marked the year 2022 with the binary code of your leak; next game year

— This small map is actually the northeast of France in the Lorraine region bordering Germany and France.

- According to geographical coordinates, it is located in Sofia, Bulgaria (the place where the next game will be held).

My verdict: The next AC game will be in France during the 100 Year War in Lorraine, Ubisoft Sofia will make the next game.

The rest of the rumors come from 4chan . As always, 4chan is the guarantor. While the basis for the evidence on 4chan is the infamous "trust me," the site's users have basically leaked everything about various previous Assassin's Creed games.

Both sources seem to be adamant on two things. First, Ubisoft Sofia is working on this game. This is the studio that worked on Assassin's Creed III: Liberation and Assassin's Creed Rogue. Second, we are currently working on two projects.

Assassin's Creed Rogue developed by Ubisoft Sofia

But for the next game, j0nathan and Reddit seem to think the setting will be France (Lorraine, to be exact) during the era of the 100 Years War. The game, which is expected to release in 2022, will also feature a smaller map than previous titles.

On the other hand, the 4chan thread seems to be more focused on gameplay. It does not feature a location setting, but it does say that the game will be more different from the usual formula. With the new engine and reduced RPG elements, the next game will reportedly feature separate zones rather than a large map like older games.

Rumors, conflicts and discrepancies

However, there is some conflict between the sources. For example, while j0nathan's information implies that the game will take place during the era of the 100 Year War, 4chan claims it will take place during the time of the Crusades. Of course, both are still rumors, so don't take either seriously. However, this discrepancy may be due to the fact that several projects are being developed at the same time. It may well be that all the details are correct, just referring to different games.

Whether the new game will be released in late 2021 or late 2022 is still a long way off. So take all rumors with a grain of salt. We have not received official information and, most likely, will not receive it. All the details can change this at an early stage of development. In the meantime, stay tuned for more Assassin's Creed rumors.
