Fortnite Community Demands Lightsaber Removal

Epic Games added a lot of different weapons to Fortnite that needed a nerf, but now players are demanding that Star Wars lightsabers be completely removed.
Fortnite Battle Royale has been host to several interesting crossovers since it was first released in September 2017, including Marvel's Avengers, Batman, and more - adding a number of themed weapons to the game.
However, one of the biggest introductions to the game since the beginning of Chapter 2 has been lightsabers, and the popular weapons of the world-famous LucasFilm franchise have certainly rocked the free-to-play.
As seen from video from Reddit user TowelieCR posted on the Fortnite subreddit, players using swords can often teleport to different positions in the middle of a fight. Redditor isn't the only one "losing patience" with the issues, as a number of other players have called for them to be removed.
For example, one wrote: “This shit is completely game-breaking and it happens to me almost every time, even when I see someone with a lightsaber. Why are they still in the game, especially with these issues?
Obviously, this is not an ideal situation for those who use it - in the first place - and maybe even worse for opponents approaching those who use the weapon. As in this short video, a failure can cost people their lives.
They were first available at the end of the Star Wars Nightmare Cinema event, and now some members of the community are calling for them to go to the vault after a glitch completely destroyed them.
If you've already looked inside the vault, you'll find the likes of the Infinity Blade, Grappler, and many more weapons that were eventually deemed unusable in Fortnite.
Whether the lightsabers will suffer the same fate and be locked up early remains to be seen, although there is certainly demand for such a course of action. The Star Wars crossover is set to end on January 7th.
