Fan-made GTA: Vice City Remake Powered by RAGE Engine Got New Screenshots
The RevTeam has shared new screenshots of their fan-made GTA: Vice City remaster. The project is based on the engine used in GTA IV and we can expect a demo later this year.
Have you ever dreamed of returning to the adventures of Tommy from GTA: Vice City , but the graphics of 2002 reject you? The Russian group known as the RevTeam may have a solution for this. The team is currently working on a new version of the game and you can see the results in the latest screenshots. Unofficial re-release titled Grand Theft Auto: Vice City 2 created on an engine that runs в GTA IV (RAGE).
DSOGaming reports that RevTeam plans to release 2 new trailers and a demo of the game later this year . You can follow the results of their work on team's official channel on YouTube. At the moment, the group is polishing the graphics and scripts. This, of course, is not an easy task, especially since all missions, as well as characters and weapons known from the original version, should appear in the remaster .
On paper it looks very good, but I would caution against being too optimistic, because the future Grand Theft Auto: Vice City 2 not so definite . When working on a fan project, it is not easy to keep enthusiasm and motivation at the same level for several years. This is well illustrated by the situation in August this year, when Andrey Lisitsin, the chief designer of the remaster, I decided leave the RevTeam. Another thing is legal issues. Take-Two, series publisher GTA , can easily block the project and will probably play this card sooner or later.
Recall also that Vice City may still return to our screens in the future thanks to Rockstar Games itself. According to some rumors, the city will appear в GTA VI , and one of the fans even prepared a possible map of the area.
