She found the necessary fossils, but she was immediately betrayed and abandoned in space. Somers managed to return home only after 87 years, but by that time her son was gone. Rumors of a new Olympus map have been around for a long time, and Apex Legends fans have been hoping for a release as early as Season XNUMX. The long wait was not in vain, as the new location really looks interesting and offers users unique mechanics.

Olympus has its own history - it used to be a densely populated city, but the inhabitants had to leave it due to an energy explosion. Olympus is connected not only to the lore of Horizon, which returned there after the disaster, but also to Loba, Octane, Lifeline and Revenant.

The authors of Apex Legends began developing the map in the spring of 2019. Olympus is slightly larger than Kings Canyon but smaller than World's Edge. The city is made in a modern style - with shopping centers, restaurants, parks and factories. The developers have added many dangerous places to Olympus through which players can fall and die, so you need to study the surroundings well and focus not only on opponents in fights, but also watch where you step.

There are two new modes of movement on Olympus - installed portals and vehicles. There are three portals, they are drawn through the entire map, so with their help you can quickly move to any point. However, an opponent may be waiting at any of the exits, so portals are best used as a last resort, otherwise you risk falling into a trap.

The first type of transport in Apex Legends is Trident

Trident is located in nine locations on Olympus. The transport is designed for three passengers, so there is enough space for the entire squad. Activating the Trident is quite simple: you need to approach it and press the appropriate button to take the driver's or passenger's seat. The Trident is also equipped with an overcharge boost feature that allows you to dash forward for a few seconds.

Trident is easy to steal from the enemy and can also be used as cover during fights. The name of each community will pass through the profanity filter, so coming up with an offensive name is unlikely to succeed. The developers also took into account that some players will try to bypass the filter in different ways, and to avoid this, they added a reporting system. If the player finds the name of the club offensive, they can send a complaint to the developers. If the name really turns out to be such, the moderators will remove the club, and its creator will probably be banned.
