Comparison of graphics in The Witcher 3 remaster compared to the original in 2015
Nextgen patch for The Witcher 3 will be shown next week, but now you can see what improvements await us. YouTuber Cycu1 showed the main changes by comparing the official screenshot of the re-release with a screenshot from the "vanilla" version of the game.
Judging by the video, the visual part of the game has become noticeably better due to new textures and vegetation. It’s too early to talk about lighting with (the screenshots have different weather, which interferes with the comparison), but you can notice an increased number of shadows - now even small stones cast them.
Some users hope that now The Witcher will get to the level of graphics that was shown at E3 2014.
«We finally got the graphics from the E3 demo- Diego Mauricio Gomez.
«Mod VGX Lighting and improvements in the environment. This is a huge remaster.”, — winged hussar.
«Someone found a prerelease build of the game on a buried hard drive, great news"- YOEL _44.
The re-release of The Witcher 3 will receive not only improved graphics and ray tracing support, but also additional content: from the modding community and from CDPR based on the Netflix series.
