Rocket Lake-S Family Processor Pricing Revealed
A U.S. retailer has posted a full lineup of upcoming 11th Gen Intel Core (Rocket Lake-S) processors, along with their expected pricing.
At the same time, the seller did not indicate the start date for sales of new chips, but it was already said earlier that it was scheduled for March 30th.
The flagship eight-core model Core i9-11900K is estimated by the seller at $600. For comparison, the recommended cost of the current 10-core flagship Core i9-10900K at the start of sales was $500, so the new chip is 20% more expensive than its predecessor. An unlocked Core i580-9KF model with an unlocked multiplier and no integrated Intel Xe-LP graphics core is priced at $11900.
The more affordable eight-core Core i7-11700K is priced at $485. The cost of new items has increased by about 26% relative to its predecessor Core i7-10700K. It is very likely that one of the most popular models in the new Rocket Lake-S chip family will be the six-core Core i5-11600K, which is priced at $310. Compared to its predecessor, the novelty has risen in price by 14%. A more affordable version of the Core i5-11600KF without an integrated graphics core is priced at $280. The remaining representatives of the upcoming 11th generation Intel Core series and their prices according to the American retailer can be found below.
It is very likely that the 11th generation Intel Core will be the last processors for the LGA 1200 platform. The following chips from the Alder Lake family will be designed for the new LGA 1700 processor socket and therefore will definitely require a motherboard replacement.
