Craft

To make a table, the players you will need three things: diamonds, books and obsidian. Players can make books using three sheets of paper and one skin. Leather is obtained from animals such as cows and horses, while paper is made from sugar cane.

Obsidian is found where water flows over lava. Players can channel water into lava patches, then mine black volcanic rock to use for their new enchantment table. It should not be confused with Weeping Obsidian, a building material used to create spawn points, or inaccessible Glowing Obsidian blocks. Next, players need diamonds. Diamonds are mined below level 15, most often between levels 5 and 12.

Improving the enchantment table in Minecraft

To level up, players need even more books. When a bookshelf is placed one space away from the enchantment table, and there is nothing between it and the bookshelves, the enchantment table levels up. This allows players to add higher level spells to their items. The maximum possible level of enchantment is level 30. It can be obtained by placing bookshelves in a square around the table:

The enchantment menu that appears when the player interacts with the enchantment table has two open slots. The first is for the item being enchanted, and the second is for the lapis lazuli needed to enchant the item. Lapis lazuli is a purple-blue smooth stone that can be found in treasure chests and looted. Upon placement, players receive a random set of enchantments added to their item based on the level of the enchantment table. There is a very important random element to enchanting, and players should be prepared to disenchant and then re-enchant items they don't like.

• Despite the fact that the enchanting table is created from durable diamonds and obsidian, it can be mined even with a wooden pickaxe.
• Notch wrote on Reddit, “Oh, this is just magical! The book automatically opens and turns to the player standing nearby. When no one is around, the book is closed and rotates slowly. Because it's magic."
• Notch said about the animation of the book: "Yes, the pages turn randomly from time to time."
• On October 1, 2011, Notch tweeted a screenshot of the enchantment window, the spells are written in the Galactic Standard Alphabet.
